Actually, you are wrong. Macroevolution describes evolutionary processes that occur at the level of species or above. Speciation is the divergence of seperate species from a common ancestor. This is exactly what modern evolutionary theory describes, "Contemporary species are related to each other through common descent, products of evolution and speciation over billions of years."
