Well, this isn't really history. But do you think its possible? I thought the phsycic predictions that NuclearWinter posted were pretty interesting. This could be history in the making. Do you think it can really happen? And more importantly, will it happen?
I said it before and I'll say it again. Let's just wait for Germany to invade something and then we can officially call it WWIII. Until then...let's go back to our Starbucks, Internet, and mainstream movies, music, and video games.
Is WAR looming?
certain events in the past few weeks are rather worrying IMO, it would appear that the US & friends are gearing up for more war like activity.
# reports of nuclear bombs being "accidentally" transfered, which of course is impossible..
# Israel claims to have spotted a nuclear facility during fly overs of Syria, oh didn´t Iraq have these as well, look what happened to that.
# Syria said they shot AT a plane, but did not say WHY, and did not say what was bombed...... Israel said no comment.
# It was then confirmed Israel took military action, and admitted it had troops inside Syria at the time to direct the attack.
# apparently the Nuclear institution was supplied by North Korea.. and the base was funded by IRAN.
# Russia Detonates Largest Non Nuclear Weapon In History.
The United States detonated the then most powerful non nuclear weapon in history, the Mother of All Bombs RIGHT BEFORE the Iraq war, as a show of strength.
The new Russian Vacuum bomb is 4 times more powerful.
# On Sept. 14, flight lines will be very quiet at Air Combat Command bases. The entire command — about 100,000 active-duty airmen — is standing down training flights and many other operations as part of a command-wide safety day. Did n´t Norad stand down before 9/11 attacks? or are they giving the pilots a break before they go on bombing runs.

i know that there is constant civil unrest, not sure about if the norad situation is predicate to an offense/defense.
all of the major powers depend on each other to much at this point for war to break out between them. As far as the looming future, I dont think the next war will be nuclear, but covert biological war fare. I for see countries being at war with one another without the general public even knowing it. Rash riseases and plagues will break out claiming the lives millions. This will either be spun as a new strain of some sort of radical infectious disease or blamed as bio warfare induced by terrorists when actaully it will be an oppsoing country of super power
