Marvel fan or DC fan

I don't read any company to the exclusion of the others, but DC was the first comic company whose stuff I read, and I still love them to pieces. Even if they did get rid of Cassandra. And bring back Jason Todd and Hal Jordon (why does that character have fans? I don't understand it). And ruin Impulse and Superboy.

Well ... uh ... I never said they were perfect ...

Seriously, though, I do prefer DC.

I'm glad Alex Ross is with DC. Love his work.

He does Marvel stuff too.

man its really hard to choose one. I'm going to have to go with DC. I love how they honour there heroes from the past and have legacy one of the big points of the JSA. Also any number of there titles pays homage to its long histroy going back to golden age. Just look at Battle for Bludhaven a DC comics historian can make connections to dozens of characters that havn't been used in years also they tend to clean up there histroy and give reasons for retcons and other things

marvel now brought a different style to the comic world. While DC characters originally were flat. Marvel made there two sided the strong hero and fragile human underneath, they also have a great histroy of on going team titles Xmen has to be the longest running team comic ever for its consistany and also F4. Plus I love Alpha Flight

now not everyone likes Golden age or silver age homages since it can be a little complicated. and if people still think DC heroes are flat and Marvel heroes are more realistic in this day and age is completely off. It hasn't been like that since the 70's.

i'm going to vote for DC. I like the range of titles they have not only is it superheroes but it has wolrd war 2 comics sometimes, humour and has some great imprints Wildstorm, Vertigo. and don't be offended this is just my opinion but marvel doesn't seem to be taking that many risks in its choice of titles they pretty much have been sticking to its mainstays xmen, spiderman, F4 etc while DC tries new characters and conecepts.

I love the Golden Age stuff, and the fact that DC makes an effort to really get their Golden Age characters out there makes me extremely happy. I loved New Invaders, yeah it twisted the Golden Age around a little bit, but in a good way, Jacobsen made Thin Man an interesting character.

But DC seems to love their characters a little bit more and respect them more, giving a little bit more room to stories that need to be told. Marvel is sometimes too into sales and business. They're the leader in the industry if you go by all the charts, so they're doing alright obviously. Marvel starts a lot of stuff but doesn't always follow through. Marvel NEXT seemed to kind of fall flat. They introduced some cool characters and aside from some cameos and stuff, they aren't getting used. Gravity was awesome, he met up with Spider-Man, I think it would be a good idea if the New Avengers maybe took Gravity in as a trainee member, he's a little too old for the Young Avengers, so he can be a reservist or member in training or something.

Quesada's done good work for Marvel, but I really think it's time he step down, he seems to play favorites a little too much.

I like both, I can't decide.

Batman and the Joker have always been my 2 favorite characters though.

I buy what I think are good stories.

Pretty much. I will say I prefer DC characters which leads to buying more DC titles obviously. My favorite Marvel characters usually end up dead (Genis) or put on the backburner for more X titles (Beta Ray Bill).

I like both a lot, but I'm more of a Marvel guy...

Yea I have to go with Marvel on this, my favorite character is from Marvel, can you guess who that is? I love DC too though, I just realized that I have a huge collection of Superman. I have to say that I hate Hal Jordan too, Kyle is the man, and WTF did they do to John Stewart? Icon is another comic hero that they should explore more, but what the hey. DC at times really piss me off with the inconsistancies, thier continuity on characters like Lobo drive me nuts. I don't see that too often with Marvel, and that is why Marvel is my favorite.

I like characters of both universes, but I like DC's storyline better.

I honestly have no preference to either, they're both good at different things.

the best comics and characters come from marvel, Captain America, Wolverine, the X-men, marvel goes so much farther deep into their development, and real world issues.
