This fight could pretty much go on for as long as both fighters want it to last. I mean, neither will tire, both are extremely skilled martial artists, both have pretty much the same strength. And while I give pure speed and agility to Cap, I give the durability vote to Wolverine.
So really, it just all depends perhaps on who wants it more? And who's having the better day really.

He gave Cap a pseudo aneurysm which lead to a massive blood clot that would end up in either his brain or heart either of which would kill good ol' Captain America.

"That lump in your thigh? That's what doctors call a "Massive Hematoma" ....from a...a "Femoral Artery Pseudo-Aneurysm"...."
"It's like an air bag in those new cars, but it's fulla blood. Swells up like that to protect your arteries from any more damage. Bad part is, the blood gets all clotted up an' nasty....an' if you ain't careful, that clotted blood'll break loose and go up into your heart. Or your brain."
"An' it'll kill ya deader'n dillinger."
I actually liked the few issues Way did one the Wolverine's title with Origins and Endings that were lead up to Wolverine Origins. Wolverine Origins really had the potential to be a great story arc but sadly Way dropped the ball. The random incoherent flash back that reveal nothing style of writing really doesn't do it for me and the art is god awful. Still I hated Millars Wolverine run equally... but I can't decided who's art I hate more Dillion or Romita Jr.
Anyway I think that feat is impressive for Captain America. I could be wrong but it sounds to me like Wolverine slit open an artery on Captain America's leg. If that was the case he should have bleed to death in a matter of minutes but I guess his blood clotted really fast and stopped the stem of blood... which led to the problem he has now.
