I'm cheering for Arlovski.
IMO the winner will either be Fedor or Overeem. Right now I actually think Alistair may take it, the guy is in his prime and looks very dominant every time he fights, either in MMA or K1.
About Fedor, he will always be the GOAT of MMA, no one will ever fight at 230 lbs with 10/15 extra fat and dominate every single HW, most of them bigger them him, like he did. However, true must be said, his fighting style relied on his extreme power and explosiveness (that was really out of this world, the guy picked and slammed 250 lbs Heath Herring like he was nothing!) and this is one of the first things to go when you start to get old.
Hey, and I am one of Fedor's greatest funs really, but evidence is evidence, when your boxing coach says your punches are getting slower you know you are getting old.
Anyway, my predictons are Fedor vs Overeem and Barnett vs Kharitonov, after that I can hardly make a guess, even though I think the first 2 are the favourites.
I really hope though that Fedor show us the last emperor once again.
You are right Darth. Fedor coaches have stated Fedor has slown and isn't as relentless as when he first started. But Fedor shown he can take a hit from guys from Fujita who landed on the button and from Brett and Cro Cop. His recovery is impressive and his capability to capitalize on someone's mistakes are still good.
This is going to be interesting. I hope he wins but I'm not sure if he can with Alaistar or a fresh Josh Barnett.
Yeah. One of the things I also noticed is that, both against Rogers and Werdum, he seems to have lost some muscle mass on his upper body. He always was a little chubby, but his upper body was always massive, very broad shoulders, pecs, neck and back.
Now it seems his belly is still there but his muscles are going away. I guess getting old plus probably some slacking in the last couple of years started to get his effect.
I mean, just compare Fedor around Pride time:
With Fedor right now:
Fedor did lost muscle mass, prime Fedor was much more physically imposing then strikeforce's Fedor
