Actually, I think it's only like the top 3-4 that Anderson would have trouble with. Anyone not named Shogun, Rampage, or Machida is probably going to lose. And Silva and Machida refuse to fight each other so.......it's really just two guys unless you think Rashad can take him.
Rashad would take him. Anyone with a strong wrestling base and good sub defense in the LHW division I'd give good odds to beat him.
It's also pretty hilarious to point out that Anderson walks around bigger than Shogun does.

Yeah. He is pretty effin' big. Shogun is, coincidentally, the only LHW I'd be willing to bet money on vs Silva though. Even then, I'd only pick if I was absolutely forced to.
Also, I keep thinking about the Forrest vs Rich fight. I have this feeling that Rich could have won had he approached Rd.1 with the same strategy as Rd. 2 and 3. For all Griffin's size, the dude seriously doesn't seem all that strong.

While I disagree, that actually goes along with my point. Rampage is a top tier LHW and you even think Silva would murder him. Going by that, is a Silva dominated LHW division all that farfetched?
Yes.

I'm torn on the issue myself. I don't think Rashad has faced Silva level submissions and Rashad might actually try to strike it out.Yeah. He is pretty effin' big. Nah, Rashad is smarter than that. Though, it took an ass whoopin from Machida to realize that he isn't a striker. Rashad would utilize his superior wrestling and top control against Anderson. He has a black belt, and trains with Greg Jackson, so he knows what to look for in terms of fighting in someone's guard. He ain't Chael.

Well, he proved that he was stronger than Rich, which is all that matters. 😛

I can see him defeating everyone in MW except Anderson and maybe Chael. I say give me dream matches at 195 or at 205. Ortiz vs Franklin would be good.

That's why I can't just think of him as the top P4P of the world. He is a hell of a great fighter, but he also likes to fight smaller guys. I mean, imagine that instead of Sonnen, he was fighting a guy like Shogun. He would have being killed, and as you pointed out, Shogun is actually SMALLER then Silva...

He beat Okami like 4 years ago. He's not the same fighter.Nate and Maia would eat him alive. Alive.
How the hell would that fight be any different today? Okami is still a wrestler with inferior striking and inferior jiu-jitsu. And I don't understand what you're basing him not being the same fighter off of. Because he lost to Forrest? Well, that's what happens when you fight a bigger, stronger stylistic version of yourself.
Nate and Maia would get smoked. Smoked.

There is some truth to this, however Anderson's greatness as a fighter can't be denied.

He already beat Okami, and I see him defeating Maia, Marquardt and most others.

So you hope. 😛
I doubt it'll ever happen but I think Rich could take a rematch.

I think Rich could still make top 5 at MW.
Originally posted by batdude123Because Okami is now a better wrestler with better striking than he was 4 years ago. You might not understand it, and neither do I, which is why I didn't say it, I was talking about Okami. Although, I could have made myself clearer...I guess. Still your fault. sneer

Nate and Maia would have Rich seeking RAINN for help.

Yes, 4 years ago. Unless you think Okami hasn't progressed in 4 years, he has, than I don't see what's the point in bringing it up and trying to pass it off as concrete proof of Rich's "eternal superiority".
