Also, on another note. Chuck was far from protected as a champ. The UFC didn't have many strikers, I'll give you that, but they did put him against 3 people who have successfully taken him out in the past.
Horn, Couture, and Rampage. 😬

---

Plus, why the f*ck do some people after winning two fights get to fight for the belt?
Rampage - One fight.
Chuck Liddell - Two fights.
Gonzaga - You might as well say one fight.
Randy - Loses a fight. Comes back, and fights the champion in the Heavyweight division.

Because their fights are exiting? That's bullshit. And people like Machida have won their last 4 fights, and are only fighting people like Tito (who has done nothing in a long time). If he beats Tito, he'll probably have to wait another year. Unless he knocks him out in spectacular fashion.

Also, some of the matches make no sense.
Case in point:
Chuck loses in a fukken Championship fight.
Keith Jardine loses to a nobody.

They fight. 😐

And as much as I like Chuck...
Chuck loses twice in a row. He also loses to Jardine...
Wanderlei loses to Dan Henderson.

They end up fighting. 😐

Now, by the way I see it... Jardine should have never had the honor of fighting Chuck, just like Chuck should have never had the honor of fighting Silva.

No matter how great the fight seems, it's decisions like this that make good grapplers/people like Machida f*cked in the UFC (no matter how good they are), and strikers reign dominant. It's unfair.

Just a personal gripe.

Yeah, their contention process is jacked.
Anyone think Okami can beat A. Silva again? That fight is probably going to happen.

His last fight had him winning because he got knocked out...

He's not winning.

again? Okami was KO'd. It was an illegal strike but the point is that we can't judge anything based on what happened.

Silva's going to destroy him if they fight again. YouTube video

It's still a "W" even if it is moot. Regardless, they're going to meet again, UFC's pretty thin at MW contenders.

its most likely Silva vs Okami next, but if Silva wins, i can see them pulling in Filho from WEC or maybe McDonald can get a shot cuz they are running out of MW's.

Silva can make WW, so a fight against WW champ would be very entertaining.

Matt Hughes, GSP, David Loiseau might make an interesting fight...

They probably wouldn't win... but they are the only ones around that weight class that would even make fights IMO.

Drop down a couple light heavy's as well to have a chance so far at beating Silva.

He's really... really going to have to be caught with a big blow, or a big submission to have a chance to be beaten. He's on a tear, and the way he took out Hendo... the middles are f*cked.

I actually think GSP has a great chance at beating Silva.

You are right about the method of victory though. I honestly think the day we see Silva defeated, it will be by flash KO or possibly surprise submission. Most likely KO. I'm just not sure who exactly will be able to do it.

Loiseau has trained with Anderson in the past many times. I doubt they would fight each other, but you never know. it most likely wont happen since Loiseau is no longer with the UFC.

I dont see Hughes, and GSP defeating Anderson.

edit:

a MW Fedor type fighter can defeat Anderson. Someone with a sambo background.

we got Amar Suloev, but he's not the same guy from before. 🙁

I like the way Amar fights.

Crow ain't the same guy since he fought Franklin either. He's gunshy.

Shit! Anybody see Iron Ring? Wasn't paying attention & missed it on Tuesday.
