Rampage should be the 1st to get title shot

ya, he said he would retire, but i doubt he will.

right now, there is no money to be made in Rampage vs Forrest II.

think about it from a business point of view

Forrest is the original TUF champion. He's VERY marketable.

i want to see Rampage/Shogun II or Rampage/Wandy III

Are you kidding me? Right now there is more money to be made for the Forrest/Rampage Rematch than any other time. 1st off, I love Forrest, but I dont see him having a long reign as champ with the way that division is stacked, so there is a big possibility he could lose his belt, which wouldnt make Rampage/Forrest match as marketable as it would if there was with the belt on the line. 2nd, You could easlily argue that Rampage didn't lose that fight, so you can cash on that aspect while its still fresh in the "casual" fans head as well with the Rampage/Forrest rematch.

I just hope Forrest's next opponent is not Lyoto Machida. Don't get me wrong I know he is certainly one of the top contenders but I don't like his style. I'd much rather see Forrest fight the winner of the Liddell-Evan's match. Who do you guys want to see him fight next other Rampage which I wouldn't complain about seeing again.

I dont like Lyoto's style either. He's the Winky Wright of MMA. Both fight real smart which usually leads to boring fights.

i was referring to an immediate rematch, are you referring to an immediate rematch cuz im not sure right.

i disagree with your premises. UFC is planning on make Chuck champ again. it's so evident at this point. They are feeding Chuck a fighter in Rashad's caliber to ensure a victory (not taking anything away from Chuck, but styles make fights and Chuck has the upper hand). Chuck wins and gets Forrest. That will BANK. The original TUF champion vs the greatest UFC LHW champion.

money will pour out of Dana Whites porsche cayman.

as for Rampage, they will give him Shogun or Wandy. Rampage has a long future ahead. Chuck is almost done. They want to milk Chucks name and fame for all its worth.

this is all business.

Yea, I was talking about an immediate rematch with Rampag/Forrest II. All the top fighters in the Lightheavyweaght division are going to sell tickets and put asses in the seat, but right now the one that would sell the most would be a Rampage/Forrest immediate rematch, and from a business perspective that would be the smartest fight to go with. That would be the hot ticket because there is always a chance Chuck could lose to Rashad, or Forrest could lose his belt before he gets a chance to defend it against Liddell or Rampage but a Rampage/Forrest II would be a gurantee blockbuster. The UFC doesn't need to milk Chuck's name, if anything, Chuck is going to try and milk the UFC.

I'm inclined to agree with wuTa here. Chuck is no longer the only name that brings people to UFC. Rampage is extremely popular as well and Forest does seem to have a quite a following himself. Given that a lot of people weren't quite in agreement with the decision Griffin won, I think an immediate rematch would be pretty huge.

I've been out of the loop with K-1 for a little while. The last fight I saw was earlier this year when Semmy Schilt knocked out Mark Hunt with a spinning back kick. I'll try and watch the fights as they aren't difficult to find. I really need to get back into K-1. It can be pretty exciting.

Speaking of Hunt, has anyone heard if he plans on returning to MMA someday?

and Machida agrees with me on making Chuck champion again.

I disagree with Lyoto saying that rampage beat Forrest and it is some conspiracy theory that Forrest won. Lyoto is definitely frustrated and I can't blame him with his record, if he wins one more fight then he has to have the next title fight for sure. But in fairness I don't believe Dana said that if Liddell (or Evans for that matter) wins then he will have the next fight with Forrest.

On a lighter note Liddell and Forrest are competing in the World Series of Poker. http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_272621446.shtml

conspiricy theory?

it's called business.

if i was in the UFC management, i would make sure Forrest defeated Rampage.

Chuck vs Forrest would break so many records.

they would probably try to have it at New York.

Chuck VS Forrest imo, would be the biggest grossing UFC ever.Pretty much the companies 2 biggest poster boys going at it.I would like to see Machida get a shot at the title, but if Chuck gets through Rashad I don't think Lyoto will get his shot.

UFC is praying for Chuck to win. then they can have "legit" reason to give Chuck a title shot.

Rashad was the victim of choice based on style. I will be cheering for him though. Rashad will have a very difficult time of taking Chuck down, and the stand up exchanges should be one sided for the most part. Even if it does go to the round, Chuck has enough knowledge and background in wrestling to be in control.

good luck to rashad

Chuck via TKO round 3

I read that Dana White will "counter" the next EliteXC televised show with showing UFC 84 on Spike at the exact same time.

I hope so. Dana was pissed at the first show.

i like Dana. he may be a douchebag, and he may contradict himself all the time, but he gets the job done. no question about it.

Here's his most recent interview were he talks about EliteXC. Interesting read for those that havent read it.
