Damn, Lesnar won, I thought Randy would have.

Just saw the way Lesnar finished Randy and dam Lesnar was pounding him. I'm trying to find a video of the full fight right now. It will be interesting to see him fight the winner of Mir and Nogueira. We could get to see the rematch of Lesnar's first fight or we get a fresh fight with Nogueira who imo is still the top heavyweight in the UFC.

Here we go http://blog.ronin5.com/2008/11/

I have no idea why Couture didnt take atleast one warmup fight. How do u take 15 months off and than come in and expect be at the top of your game? Especially with a fighter who has shown nothing but improved skills. The UFC compleltely Randy him to the lions. It's like they wanted to make sure Lesnar won, or atleast given him the best possible chance of winning.

Looking at the fight again I'm surprised that the ref didn't stop it sooner it looked like Brock landed around 30 punches to the head while Couture was on the ground.

I don't think Randy would have wanted a warm-up fight. The UFC wanted capitalize on the opportunity presented due to TUF series happening right now, plus if Randy were to somehow lose a warm-up fight then imo it could ruin the build up to a fight against Lesnar,Mir or Nogueira.

I actually think UFC wanted Randy to win that, so the ref gave Randy as much time to recover as he could.

Shame Randy lost. He was winning the fight up to that punch honestly. I guess it'll be Lesnar vs Fedor now? 😂

I think Nogueira should be able to stop Lesnar.

Fedor would beat Lesnar right now but maybe in 2 years from now it could go the other way, Lesanar is definitely improving after each fight. I agree with you,Nogueira should beat Lesnar. I want him to beat Mir because I just can't see Mir stopping Lesnar again. Speaking of Mir and the big Nog, didn't anyone else see their coaches challenge in penalty kicks? 😂

Well I'm just looking forward to Florian getting the tar knocked out of him by Penn

Doesnt Randy have like a 3 fight deal with UFC? If so, warm up fights are out of the question for him.

I like BJ but Ill be rooting for the underdog (Florian) in this one.

No excuses. Randy did good, but Lesnar is a monster.

We learned one thing from this fight, Lesnar does not like to get hit. Randy doesn't possess KO power, imagine someone that does.

Lesnar will have trouble with guyz that have great takedown defense, and superior striking skills.

I would say Cro Cop, but not a chance. Lesnar would maul Cro Cop at the moment.

I see guyz like Dos Santos to have potential. Other than that, I see many losing to Lesnar.

Lesnar is much more aggressive than Barnett, I don't see Nog defeating Lesnar.

As for Fedor, he has the best shot at defeating Lesnar.

And yes, Fedor lost in the recent Sambo tournament. he wasn't undefeated in Sambo, but he hasn't lost in a while, so that was big news as well. He lost to the Bulgarian that he defeated tournaments ago.

I've always been a Florian fan. Have to cheer for the fellow Armenian (well he's part Armenian).

definitley. Lesnar is much more marketable than Randy, but no excuses. Randy was ready for this.

Kenny might give him a really hard way to go or even beat him. Kenny got rid of Joe much faster than Penn did. This should be a good scrap

I agree that fighters who excel at sprawl and brawl tactics would give Lesnar trouble. "Crocop Prime" could do it, but he seems depowered as of late.

I've got to disagree with your thoughts on Nogueira though. I also see great grapplers, especially ones with strong chins like Nogueira, giving Lesnar an even harder time than good strikers. Lesnar's wrestling, size, and power are his biggest attributes. An ability to fight off your back well and the ability to absorb punches, i.e. Nogueira, pretty much negates Lesnar. Lesnar is indeed more aggressive than Josh, but you forget that Josh is far, far more skilled and just as large as Lesnar. I think Josh present a much larger threat to Nogueira than Lesnar does at the moment. Their last two fights against each other shows that.

To be fair, I can see Lesnar getting a decision over Nogueira if he focuses on submission defense. However, their match will be a championship bout if Nogueira beats Mir. Avoiding submissions from Nogueira for five rounds is quite a task.

I think Josh would win against Lesnar as well, but I highly doubt we'll ever get to see that fight. 🙁

Rashad will beat Forrest. Nog v. Mir is still a toss up. I have to see more of Nog's old matches.

What up pimps? It's been awhile, since i posted... I was formely "Mark Question," but my account got jacked up...whatever.

Babalu is fightin' Southworth tonight... I'm guessin' Sobral by murder.

What promotion is this fight taking place in?

Not a toss up at all. Nog via Flawless Victory

as for Forrest/Rashad, i would say that's a toss up.

Forrest has the fighting intelligence to defeat Rashad, and I will be going with Forrest in this fight. I see him picking Rashad apart on the stand up, and countering. Unlike what Chuck did.

Forrest via TKO

I also think that Griffin's durability will be a huge obstacle to Rashad.

I wondered what happened to you. I hadn't seen you post in a while. What's your take on Lesnar?
