Honestly though, who cares if he can beat Batman? Batman is a WAY better character than Spawn and actually has a personality. Spawn is just an overpowered demon from hell that's just stupid.
have you even read the comics the guy has no memory of his past at first and only sees some images of his past he sees a woman and finds that he gave his soul to see her one last time but he must lead demons to earth in return spawn refuses this though. He is faced with the fact that he was the reason wanda could never have a kid, one of his own friends kills him, and his wife has remarried. He goes through some tuff crap himself and isnt just an overpowered demon

Yeah his character is so stupid that it had an animated series on HBO that won 2 Emmy Awards & 2 Golden Reel Awards. Had a issue that sold 1.7 million copies, which still holds that record for an independent comic book yeah real stupid 🙄

First off I am astounded to hear Batman is so hated or that Macfarlanes Hellspawn is so revered. Batman would win this one hands down; none of the Spawns were ever too awfully bright and I'll give you for example Al Simmons. All Spawn ever did was whine about how he couldn't be normal again, while granted Spawn is awesome, how is he really going to destroy the Violator and Malbolgia, he can't....Malbolgia gave him his power and could crush him immediately without a seconds thought. Batman on the other hand is quite realistic except where it concerns the Joker's and Mr. Freeze's conception, nevermind that. Now Miller nor Loeb had anything to do with shaping Batman into 'The Dark Knight,' it was all Bob Kane because if you examine the copies of Detective Comics with the Bat hell even the first issues of Batman, (before the fifties era which was campy and ridiculous) you'll plainly see that the name Dark Knight is quite fitting. Now Bruce Wayne has his hang ups about his parents death but as Batman he's not constantly lamenting over the fact his life will never be normal again, he embraces it. Also the Batman villains are far superior, not only are they realistic but each one has their defining qualities and they're completely ruthless. I love Spawn don't get me wrong but in a battle of sheer wits Batman would take the cake, mind you he's acrobatic as well as knowledgeable and he has had years of combat training not to mention the gadgets and the little trinkets given to him by the JLA. Now where it concerns Spawn in sheer brutal strength Batman does not stand a chance but technically Spawn cannot exist in Batman's world nor Batman in Spawn's it's impossible to even cross the two storylines without having an unbelievable plot added to the unbelievable characters. Unless Batman makes his way to New York or Spawn to Gotham that story can never work, just look at [Batman Spawn: Wardevil] horrible story and artwork and the fights were unbelievable given the subjects. I'm rambling now but Batman is always studying his opponents, he has files on every superhero in existence including Marvel's, Spawn is no different. The Bat would make Spawn look like a fool on so many levels, Spawn would have to always aim for Batman's head and he would never be able to hit it for the reasons I gave above. Now one person said in an earlier post that Spawn would destroy the JLA, once again a flattering thought but impossible. Superman's strength and powers are enhanced by earths yellow sun, Wonder Woman's strength is equal to Superman's, The Green Lantern has cosmic powers comparable to the Silver Surfer, Steel is Basically DC's answer to Thor who is a GOD, I will agree Mr. Marvel and the Flash would get owned oh yeah and that idiot Aquaman too, but not Martian Manhunter or any of the one's I showed in a positive light above. **** it I'm spent.
