I think it will be close - a lot closer than if you would have asked me in May. I expect lots of offensive mistakes, ala Miami/FSU, or (gulp) maybe even worse. This will be an ugly game. Look for Jeff Reed or Olindo Mare to be a strong candidate for the Chevrolet Player of the Game.
But hell yeah, I'm so pumped about this game and weekend as well! Let the games begin!
And congrats just on being the head chef!

One problem, the restaurant I'm the head chef at is in the final week of reno. So, I'm hoping that the owner doesnt open on Tuesday because I might miss Sunday. AHHHH!!!
Anyways, who's the winner tonight?
I'm going for the underdog Miami.
I am also taking Miami, however they are not the underdog they actually are the favorite

Thanks man.
Thats why I've been on soo much in the past two months.
I'm going to pissed if I miss Sunday for some stupid reason....and that I cant tape it because I threw out my broken VCR>
Oh well, atleast the Sunday Night game is going to be awesome.
One thing, I think this game will be decided on how good Culpepper plays. If he plays like he did two years ago, I think the Steelers could have some problems.

Don't forget about Big Ben.Who wants to bet that Leinart will be next in line of "Drunk NFL Quaterbacks with hot chick who are not aware of camera"?
Man this season is a curse for the steelers.First Jerome retires, then Big Ben goes and gets into a motorcycle accident, randel el signs with the redskins, hines ward has been out all preseason with a hamstring injury, when it appears there has FINALLY been some good news to report about for the steelers, that Big Ben has been doing fine in the preseason with no major setbacks from the motorcycle accident,we NOW learn he has another health issue problem and wont be starting tonight and to top it all off,Cowher hasnt made it clear yet if he will come back and coach again after this year or not. That would be such a nightmare and travesty for me if Cowher retired from football.I couldnt take pro football anymore. It was bad enough when my favorite team the rams moved away from L.A. Which made me lose interest in the NFL for years but then I got interested in it again when Cowher who I always liked as a coach started winning all these games for the steelers and could if he stuck around another 15 or 20 years, break don shulas most wins by a head coach record.that alone and the fact that the steelers were always my favorite team after the LA RAMS,made me like the NFL again.Man he better come back for several more years.I just cant imagine the steelers without Bill Cowher for at least the next 15 years. This would for sure be my second worst nightmare ever to happen. 🙁
steelers pulled it out.. Daunte did not look impressive especially in the 4th when he just looked awfull making horrible throws.
Not giving Saban the challenge is rediculous
Parker was pretty bad until he got his 32 yard run other than that he didn break 3 yards per carry, but they still commited to the run at least
Yeah. How did that happen...I just missed it. Was it Saban's fault or the refs?
I was surpraised about Batch. He played really well.
Parker had a few nice runs, but he got stopped a bunch too.
Offensive lines for both teams did pretty well.
I'm soo angry about Chambers. He didnt do anything...damn fantasy dude.
That Walker guy is quick man, and has some moves.
Overall, Steelers showed why their Superbowl champs but they were definitly not dominate. Miami on the otherhand showed why their an upcoming team and aside from the 4th, played a pretty good game too.
it was not sabans fualt he threw the flag onto the field before the snap that should be all he has to do. He should not have to run onto the field like a maniac. Plus if he took the time to run into the middle of the field before throwing it he woulda been late. Bottom line flag was out and on the field before the snap

Bottom line is that the Steelers still won by 11 points. TD or not didn't matter there, even though they should have honored the challenge. Besides, it was 1st and goal on the 1 even if the TD got overturned. I realize the Steelers fumbled before on the goal-line, but does anyone seriously think they wouldn't have scored there eventually?
yea and it would have been a little farther than the 1.. i think as far as the 3-4 actually. But yes i do think they would have very likely scored.. its more so just that last year had a lot of ref issues, the nba finals had a lot, the world cup had a lot, and I dont wanna start the NFL season off with bad calls again.

It doesnt matter if they would of still of gotten the TD. I dont know how many times a team is on the 1 yard line and only kicked a field goal. If that happened, it would of been a different game.
But overall, the Steelers still won, but the red flag should of been honored. It was a crap call and I wouldnt be surpraised if its talked about.
What happens if it was an 40 yard passing playthat got the TD in the endzone, but the replay shows that the guy didnt have possession of the ball? Does it still matter?
Also, how could some ref not see the red flag?
