ESPN's top 3 are the top offenses in the NFL Colts/Seahawks/Bengals

umm yea i know what i saw, dont know what network you watching but analyst on ESPN said Baltimore.

heh this news isnt surprising:

Shaun Alexander out with broken foot = Madden Cover Jinx

I knew this was going to happen, hate to say I told you so but ta.....

IN YO F*CKIN' FACE

Yea go look at ESPN's power rankings and tell me where Baltimore is #1

Yea alexander cracked a bone in his foot. His foot has been hurt the entire season and hes now gonna need a couple weeks to let it totaly heal. His foot was also hurt at the end of last season (it was the reason he didnt play in the pro bowl) So call it a madden curse if you want, but this injury started before madden did. Simple fact is NFL players get hurt a lot of them.

On real discussion. Seattle will be ok without him. The bears run defense has not been very good so far and Morris is a very capable back. This is all besides the point that Seattle is a pass first offense this season. Seattle follows this with a bye week and then STL.

Who is your team by the way Evolution?

Im not talking about the website power rankings, im talking about ESPN NFL analyst power rankings. I dont look @ the power rankings on the website, I look @ sportscenter and here what they have to say.

My team is KC and my failsafe team is PHI, but its kind of difficult to be be a PHI fan anymore because the whole T.O. situation but im going to stick with them no matter what.

Yeah, Bot, I was watching a part of the Steelers and Cincy..and I was like well, it looks like they will win..but wait a minute...what the ****...2 TDS in like 3 seconds...ohkay then.

Then I started watching the Colts game. Im really surpraised they won considering how dominate the Jags run game was, but somehow, the Colts defense started playing.

yea jags seemed to dominate the game, but colts found a way to win. It was special teams really. Jags allowed a special teams TD and missed 2 FG's. They play well on special teams and they woulda won.

Which analysts ranks the Ravens #1 then? Ive heard people say the Ravens have maybe the #1 defense this year, and that they have potential at being a top team, but ive never heard anyone, not even ravens fans here think they are the #1 team.

Sean Salisbury ranked Ravens # 1

Look I dont see why this is so surprising, no ones saying thats there super bowl pick, just saying that they're the best team in the NFL as of right now. I certainly dont disagree Steve Mcnair has lifted the Offense and their Defense is one of the best.

the offense hasnt been lifted. Mcnair is playing bad, ravens fans even admit Mcnair isnt playing well. Salisbury is one of the dumbest analyst ive ever seen. I think you may have mis heard though theres just no way he said they are the #1 team on all sides of the ball, unless it was maybe right after the first game with TB. I live in baltimore I watch every ravens game for years. I even like the team. The offense is struggling A LOT.

Really gotta give it up to the Saints... big time congrats on a huge win where they utterly dominated the falcons, who had utterly dominated everyone they played up to this point.

I agree I dont like Salisbury but I do have the Ravens in my top 5.

1. Colts
2. Bears
3. Ravens
4. Bengals
5. Jags

according to "mort" Matt Leinart is going to start next week vs ATL. If this is true then.... 💃 💃 💃 💃 💃 💃 💃 , I knew there was a reason I drafted him(other than hes from USC). I CaNT WAIT TO SEE MATT IN ACTION!! this is bad news fro the NFC WEST

Salisbury generally knows his stuff, imo. I like him. I wouldn't have Ravens #1, but they're not far from it.

I'd go:
Seahawks (Alexander will return...it's not the end just yet)
Bengals
Colts
Chicago
Ravens

...or something similar...

P.S. And yeah, congrats to N.O. I'm not an N.O. fan, but it was hard not to root for them. 🙂

that game got me real pumped tho, I was loving every minute of it, NO defense looks pretty good.

I think you guys would change your mind if you watched more ravens games. Fans here are VERY worried. THey do not feel they are anywhere close to the superbowl year. THe D is looking great against very bad teams so far, but they know the D isnt quite the same even though it is great. THe thing is in the superbowl year Jamal was a monster, he isnt anymore. McNair has to step it up or the ravens cant go anywhere. I think SD and the Jags are above them right now.

Did you hear all the "Who Dat?" chants in the New Orleans' crowd last night? It originated in New Orleans, and the Bengals didn't steal their chant until 1981 when a man from the Bayou came into a Cincinnati bar and started his chant. They changed one of the words, and the remake was born. Funny how I never heard the "Who Dey" chant very much from 1993-2003.

The 3rd NFL game I went to was Saints / Falcons in Atlanta in November 1989. The Saints won that game, but I'll never forget the huge crowd that made the trip from New Orleans. There were Saints fan all over Atlanta Fulton-County Stadium, and there was a jazz band in my SECTION playing "When the Saints Go Marching In" every time the Saints got a first down. It was great.

thanks for that, i heard them doing it after the game and was confused. Interesting to know it originated there.

Everyone knew the Saints offense had some good potential, especially with Colston stepping up so big. But apparantly their D is good too. So far they really cant be run against now that they stoped the #1 run team in the NFL (several years running -- no pun intended) they look for real.

This team could really start 5-0

It's the coach.

Sean Payton is very very good when it comes down to the offense. I'm missing him in Dallas.

I liked their offense a lot and thought it had good potential. Its the D that is totaly shocking me.

Granted, aside from the Falcon game...the Saints havnt really played any good teams and it was an surpaise that they dominated the game, but considering how much emotion was running through that game from the opening of the Superdome and all that, it isnt all that surpraising that the Saints won.

yea but even against not great teams their Run D has been sick. I dont think anyone has gone over 50 rushing yards on them yet. That includes Ahman green and Ruben Droughns who should both be 1,000 yard rushers (well droughns being hurt may limit that)

Oh Please, The ravens aren't even the best team in the AFC North.
The Bengals and Steelers are both better imo.
Right now , sure put the Ravens in your top 5, but it won't last. Unless Jamal or Mcnair pick it up.

My Top 5 in no particular order are
Chargers - Their D is sick! Plus Rivers is handling the ball very well.
Colts - Still good w/o Edge. I don't think they are the best though.
Bears - Great Defense, and Offense seems to be clicking at this point.
Bengals - Definately looking good!
Seahawks - Even without Alexander...although this week looks like itll be tough.

and My Picks for Week 4 are....
Arizona at Atlanta - Falcons will rebound and smash the Cards.
Dallas at Tennessee - Cowboys whoop some bottomfeeder arse.
Indianapolis at N.Y. Jets - I am so close to picking the Jets, I think they have a shot with Pennington playing well, but Colts are still a very good team, Colts in a close one.
Miami at Houston - Dolphins should win this. They need to run the ball more.
Minnesota at Buffalo - Vikings.
New Orleans at Carolina - Panthers. Sorry Saints.
San Diego at Baltimore - Chargers should win decisively. and put to bed any rumors that the Ravens are good. =P ok that may be a little harsh...
San Francisco at Kansas City - Chiefs should be able to win.
Detroit at St. Louis - Rams.
Cleveland at Oakland -Brownies get to play a team worse than themselves! Browns win.
Jacksonville at Washington - Jaguars rebound in D.C.!
New England at Cincinnati - Bengals go 4-0 two years in a row to start the season!
Seattle at Chicago - Bears.
Green Bay at Philadelphia -Eagles

and you would be wrong

Im fine with putting the Bengals ahead of them which would make this statement true...

The ravens aren't even the best team in the AFC North.

but the Steelers are not better than the Ravens, Steelers are 1-2 and big ben is looking horrible, and to put them ahead of a 1st place baltimore team just isnt right. Punish them when they lose not when they win. Reminds me of when the Patriots were only winniing close games and everybody was praising them because of that saying they know how to win, but criticing teams because they dont blow an oponent out. Ravens are up there with the best. Their defense is sick and dont expect their offense to pull them down this season. Ravens fans have no reason to worry because compared to last season the're doing GREAT right now.
