Atl kicks a long FG to win the game the whistle clearly came after the snap. Now apparantly cowher told the ref RIGHT before the snap and so it counts as a TO. But in the miami game the challenge flag was on the field WELL before the snap and miami doesnt get the challenge.. they really need to adjust some of these rules.
And it was a correct call. It doesn't matter when a striped shirt actually locates his whistle and creates an carbon dioxide burst; it only matters when the ref is informed. It's a brilliant strategy for long field goals. Wait until the last second and make him kick it twice. I've seen it a billion times in other games.
Penalties or refs weren't really a factor in this game. I don't think, except for possibly a questionable roughing the passer called against the Steelers, that there was any controversy for a freakin' change.
Well, I went to that game and, despite the outcome (Nate Washington thinking the formation wasn't legal as Reed was set to attempt a GW 50 yarder - and it was the correct formation - and the fumbles were worse than lack of defense, IMO), it was a great atmosphere, which is saying something for the Georgia Dome, which I've been to about a dozen times. I'd say 35% Steeler fans, which makes sense for a Steelers/Falcons game. Before Michael Vick and their bandwagon fans actually located the facility, I'd say it was closer to 50%. Every time the Steelers scored, I had no shortage of fans to high-five in my section. Fun day, to say the least.
I haven't been the Georgia Dome since 2001. Since I've been to other stadiums, I'd say the Dome needs to do some serious work on their overall jumbotron experience. They were horrendous at showing replays and their screen is too small. I only saw highlights from other games at the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters, so I basically had no idea what was going on in any other games until I got home.
On a positive note, their 1/2 lb. dogs were the sh*t.

yea i wasnt saying it was a wrong call. Just saying when you look at a situation like that, and then a situation where a challenge flag was sitting on the ground for a full 2-3 seconds before the snap.. and that one doesnt count? theres just too much variance.
I thought pitt got screwed on reviewing a play at some point in the game. It wasnt a huge deal but they had nice momentum going and it ruined that and there was no need for a review the guy had 5 ro 6 steps in bounds easily.

cause seneca is #2. Seneca gets the reps in preseason, he practices as the #2 guy.. green has never been able to steal that spot from him in practice. And green has 0 game experience. Now if Green was an old vetteran they would use him in this case since its only a couple of games. It would be like the Redskins. Jason Campbell is the #2 QB there, if brunell is seriously hurt campbell would take over.. if brunell was gonna miss a couple quarters or a game or 2 Collins would likely take over for that brief time. But Seattle has no wiley old vet so gotta give the new kid his shot.
Matt Hasselbeck is one of the top 5 QB's in the league, period, but judging from a few preseason games I saw, your backup QB sucks! Not that David Greene is any better, but my brother knows him through UGA and says the guy really knows how to throw down and party, so at least he has that going for him.

Green - 5 straight years with at least 3600 yards, 3 straight with 4000+ , 4 straight years with a QB rating of at least 90. KC has lead the league in offense 3 straight years I believe, last year I forget
