You mean the struggling Steelers who could only muster up 3 lousy points with 10 seconds to go and won.

I think that pathetic excuse for a field ass-raped everyone. haermm

I kind of like having a cow pasture as a home field. Kind of like dome turf with the way it gives sort of a home-field advantage.

At the same time, the Steeler players hate it as well and, like I said, it is a cow pasture.

When Heinz Field was built, the city agreed to give the team the money with the following stipulation: High School Football Championships would be played there as well as all PITT home games. That is in the contract and there is no way around it. So on a yearly basis, the end of November always produces the worst conditions. This year was amplified more because of the torrential downpour when the new sod was laid Saturday afternoon.

Since the Rooneys would never resort to artificial turf like was in Three Rivers, maybe the best solution is to give the Steelers 2 straight road games at the end of November and beginning of December.

They should think about installing artificial turf. When the field conditions turn as bad as it did on Monday night, it becomes dangerous for both teams to play on.

I'd think there would be a greater chance of them installing styrofoam. They are simply not a turf team. Leave that crap to the Rams and Falcons.

Since every NFL stadium that also hosts college games (i.e. Bucs, Eagles) has already re-sodded, that's not the problem. The problem was laying new sod over the existing playing surface and having a leaky tarp during a football bonanza weekend.

Leaky tarp + 8 games played in 3 days + water buildup on new sod on existing playing surface = what you saw on Monday.

For starters, how about getting a tarp that doesn't leak next time??

I would hate it as Steelers fan if they install turft.

In fantasy land, if I was the new owner for the new expansion Toronto team (its going to happen), I would make the effort to get grass in the new stadium I would built and then get a team to play with those conditions.

Automatic 2 wins every year for me.

How about that stuff that is more like artificial grass, like in Seattle.

Well, I think thats what people call turf now.

I dont think there is any artificial turf in the league anymore. It's synthetic grass.

My goodness, Big Mike showed up at Titans practice weighing 271 pounds!!!

He actually gained more weight since they signed him. This guy is so dumb and lazy and if it weren't for Kiffen and Chow, also of USC, he would have been eaten himself out of the NFL.

I've given up on him playing receiver, if he keeps this up he'll be playing tightend or even lineman in no time.

wait wait.. so are you officially willing to call him a bust now?

He's done at receiver. He's too big, I thought he would have gotten it, but he's STILL gaining weight! I'm still rooting for him though. I can't believe he fell so far, but that's what happens when your a lazy ass. I'm glaf Jarrett has a great work ethic.

glad

Well, TO's been humbled today..

Dallas/Green Bay good game.

Your shitting me?

Hahahaha....amazing. hahah he wieghs more than 4-3 DE's.

I got one sentence about the game tonight....can I have Romo's babies?

A few thoughts about the broadcast.

a. Did you hear Colllinsworth call DeMarcus Ware a tool?
b. Can we stop hearing about how bad Roy Williams is in coverage? We get already, he isnt the best coverage guy in the league but he is hardly the worst either.
c. Can we stop thinking that Dallas can be beat over the top? What made the game close, it wasnt Favre bombs that did nothing but Aaron Rodgers throwing short passes.
d. Dallas is easily the second best team in the league and could easily win against the Patroits. Doesnt mean they will, but they can.

Yeah it was a very good game.

I mean, I don't think anyone really thought that the Packers would win.. but they both played a really good team, and they weren't stomped either. They put up a good fight.
