Captain Comeback does it AGAIN! W000t!
What a finish to a very tight game. Tom is the man! The Ravens took it to the Pats and it was a thriller. This game could have easily gone to the Ravens. But for some reason there was too much idiotic celebration and high fives in the THIRD QUARTER by many of the Ravens players.
Here is an idea....FINISH THE DAMN GAME and then you can celebrate all you want. I know the roar of the crowd will get you excited. But that's no reason to say that is over. You're dealing with a team that can come back and beat you. Don't blow it by let them return. In the end the Ravens got fustration, anger, confusion, and it all led to a complete meltdown.
Go Patriots!
That was the luckiest I've ever seen any team in a while. Patriots got lucky with the timeout, and EXTREMLEY lucky that one of their players was offsides on the other 4th down play. There should be a rule that the defense can decline that penalty if they want. Also, Gaffney didn't have possesion of that touchdown. It wasn't clear, but I could tell that he was bobbling it a little.
I don't understand why that since the Patriots won this game you all now think they will go 19-0. I think the Steelers will beat them. If they don't, then yeah, the Pats will go at least 16-0, but I think they can easily lose to the playoffs, especially to the Colts.

I saw that play also, I don't think Gaffney was bobbling the ball. How can the Steelers win?

the defense can decline a penalty. On a false start though there is no play so by declining they would have simply let the Pats have 4th and 1 still instead of 4th and 6. You can let them decline and take the 4th down play because the refs are blowing the whistle in the middle of it which effects the play.
About the Gaffney catch. Did he have 100% control? Not really, was it clear enough to over turn it, not really. However even if it was overturned, thanks to Scott the Pats would have just moved half the distance to the endzone and got a new first down. All over turning it would have done would of been to give the ravens less time after the Pats scored, because they were going to score regardless.
My question is why didnt the Pats try an onside kick at the end? I mean the worst thing that happens is you give Bmore the ball at the 25 instead of the 20 and you run a few seconds off the clock, the best thing you recover take a knee and go home.

wow all of a sudden the patriots look vulnerable and not unbeatable now.I cant believe they almost lost this game to the Eagles of all people. The Colts being a close game and barely winning that one,i figured that game would turn out like that but the eagles? Not so sure now if they can keep that undefeated record intact now.
Well I gotta change my mind now.I dont think the patriots are going to go undefeated.Thats two weeks in a row now that they almost lost to another lousy team. All of a sudden they have been exposed and almost got beat by a couple of lousy teams. The Steelers have a history of huge upsets. The year the 49ers went 15-1 and won the superbowl,it was the steelers that spoiled their undefeated season that year and that was when they were a really bad team during the 80's.The Patriots are going to be facing a good team this next sunday with one less day than normal to prepare for it.Being exposed now on how they can be beaten two straight weeks in a row,I think the steelers will be the one that ends it.If that coach of the ravens doesnt call a time out,the patriots would be looking at their first loss right now. They cant count on to continue getting lucky that way and dropping all these easy passes they did in last nights ballgame and expect to keep winning. If they play like they did against the eagles and ravens next week against the steelers, they wont win. They need to get back to being effecient like they were earlier in the year.

No, the worst thing that could happen on an onside kick for the Pats is the Ravens return if for a touchdown or return it in field goal range.
true there is the possibility of a return, but it is very very very very unlikely that they could get any type of return out of it in that scenario.

I think that because I think the Pats understand they're not unbeatable anymore and now will take every game as hard.
There's a few things I want to happen.
a. the Patriots, because they're dicks play Brady and co. in the second half of the last game of the season and both Moss and Brady get injured on a deep pass in a rout and are gone for the playoffs. It would be the ironic way of them losing.
b. they lose to the Colts in the playoffs in NE and in snow, so we can finally put the Manning cant beat the Patriots in NE, and when they have recievers and if Caldwell didnt drop that pass behind us.
c. they go the Superbowl and Dallas wins by 90 points and in the end, Bill Belicheck and Brady throw a hissy fit like an 6 year old to the officials.
d. they go to the Superbowl, lose by 90 to Dallas and the Patriots offense totally gets ass raped by Ware. ( Remember that scene in Friday Night Lights the movie on where that huge black dude kicks the QB in the face with the helmet, that type of ****ed up)
I can only dream.

yeah you aint kidding.I for one now cant pick them to beat the steelers the way they have played the last couple of weeks.

Nah, not as good. If they win it by 3 points or less, any NE fan will say the officials gave them all the breaks because everybody hates the Pats.
I want the other team to win by an landslide so there isnt any doubts.
But silly boy, Moss will win the MVP because he is soo great, even though TO has just as good stats then Moss does and is just as important as Moss is, maybe even more (considering the lack of depth Dallas has in the WR dept.)

Man, if that happened John Madden, Peter King and the rest of the Favre ass kisser sportswriters would do a Scanners:
It would be the ultimate omega point for the Favreites.
