Because IMO it's much easier to gain 1 yard running then it is passing. There is less stuff that can go wrong. Especially f you're just going to lob it up like they did. In a pass play, one little tip of the ball would ruin it, the ball thrown slightly off and the reciever might drop it. Everybody could be covered are you're f*cked. In a run play, you either get the 1 yard or you don't.

I didnt see the play so I cant really comment on it but in hindsight obviously they should of done something different but if they ran the ball and missed twice, we would be talking about how they should of thrown the ball because it was obvious that they're running down the middle.

They just got outplayed.

Saints keep hope alive and Brees actually looked good throwing the ball 50 times. Receivers caught the ball and Colston looked like a top 5 receiver.

Why did Romo only throw at Owens 4 times? NONE in the first half. So much for him being the NFL's leading receiver, 3 catches 21 yards while Moss had a huge day. It's not even like Detroit was locking him down either. I bet Witten sucked some good sausage the night before to get all those balls thrown to him, after all, him and Romo ARE roommates, something Joe Buck and the gang mentioned a million times during the broadcast. Perhaps they were hinting at something?

Did you even see that game, Owens was doubled every play, which left Witten open every time. Detroit's gameplane defensivley was obviously to have Witten beat them and not Owens. So Romo is suppose to throw into double coverage and risk a turnover, and the game so Owens can be the leagues leading reciever, that's brilliant.

And they succeeded.

Yeah Owens has never been double teamed......

He was open but it looked like he was being looked at after check down 80% of the time. Like Joe Buck said, the slant route among many others was there the whole day. One thing is for sure though, he would have start blabbin to the media IF they lost, unless he truly has changed.

Are we really going to base our opinions on Joe Buck?

I watched that game and TO wasnt open all the time, he could of been but like what Manning has been doing for awhile, if its not there, throw to the wide open Jason Witten who gets 10 yards per catch and a first down.

Lord Evo, please think before you speak. If Witten was asking Romo for the ball, why is it that TO is the leading reciever of the NFC. Are you just pissed off that TO isnt in the stats category of Randy Moss. The first ****ing time in the whole season that TO wasnt the leading reciever of the Cowboys and your start complaning?

Throughtout the season, the first target Romo looks for is Owens, then Witten. This game, it was the same but it wasnt open. They had double coverage on him all day. Witten just happened to be open every single time. Any idiot would of thrown to Witten and not to Owens.

But he wasn't throwing towards the other receivers either. I'm not going to lie, I was pissed he wasn't even looking at Owens, it was either Witten or check down, Marion Barber had 10 receptions, thats more than he even threw at all his receivers combined. Covered my ass, I counted at least 6 times he was open down the field where he didn't get looked at. It seems like he was focused on getting Witten the ball and if he was covered it was going straight to check down. Marion Barber and JJ aren't usually apart of the Dallas passing game but sure enough, there MB3 was, with 10 receptions. I know Owens enough to know that a double team isn't going to take him out of the game, hes been getting doubled his whole career. At least get the man a 7 yard in or slant, he can usually turn those into big yards.

I'm not hatin on Romo, he's my 2nd favorite QB in the league but just find it a bit strange he wasn't looking at his best receiver or any of his receivers for that matter.

I'm not saying he HAS to distribute the ball evenly, I really only had a problem with it in the first half when they weren't doing anything on offense and T.O. was open but had no balls thrown his way.

I'm also wondering why Jones is still getting carries, man that dude is garbage, at least compared to Barber.

BREAKING NEWS: Bobby Petrino is leaving to take Arkanssas job.

As far as I'm concerned Brennan > Brohm and Ryan. That makes him the top QB prospect, I hope he goes to ATL and stays away from Miami. Before Petrino decided to leave, Brohm was a lock to get picked by ATL, even though Brennan was better.

But Ryan might be first because he's 6'5 and mobile, but his numbers aren't good.

Dixon could be up there as well.

Who do you guys think will be the first QB taken?

I disagree again. Sorry dude.

I think your over exaggerating when it comes down to Julius Jones. He isnt garbage. Well, he might not be as good as Marion Barber, but in fact he is not garbage.

One thing I dont like about what they're doing with the running backs is that they use them on a per series basis. I've seen Jones knock off 3-4 big runs in one series, they get a TD from it and then he doesnt play for 3 series and when he comes back, he is not nearly effective. He's the type of player who if he is hot, keep him in the game. This year, he hasnt been doing his usual thing but its only one year. This is the guy who got 2 200 yard games in one season. But in fact, he isnt garbage. On the other hand, whose to say Barber would be that effective if he was the only RB?

At first I thought Brohm, now I'm thinking Colt Brennan

Brennan is a beast. He'll be a good pro player. Pocket passer, great vision, mobile, accurate, quick release, 6'3 and a rocket arm. Whoever needs a QB should take him.

Kansas City and Miami to few name two. Falcons also

I'm pretty sure he'll go pro. Hawaii may be undefeated, but WAC isn't exactly the best conference.

I think Hawaii will beat Georgia, prove to everyone that they are definitely one of the best teams in the country. Brennan is a senior, so he's going pro, the extra year he stayed could have made him 25 million richer.

Who do you think's gonna take him?

I'm hoping Atlanta, but ESPN is going to hype Ryan and Brohm up so much like they did Tebow, I have a feeling Brennan might fall down, way past where he should be taken. Ravens, 49ers, Jets, Bears, Dolphins, and Falcons are all possibilities, but in the end I think it will be the Falcons.

Keyshawn is such a idiot and a hypocrite, I hate to be talking about a USC alum like this but I can't help to not call an idiot out when they make dumb comments. He's been knocking T.O. all season long, I'm glad Owens said something back to him. Can't wait until Mr. "spank her with ruler" gets fired. He has no business being an analyst.

That would be interesting. An All-American good guy QB fresh out of college replacing Vick.

you clearly didnt listen to what Keyshawn said if you think he is and has been knocking him all season. In fact Keyshawn said he is having an incredible season and he that if he had a vote he would vote for him to be player of the year. Yea somehow I dont connect saying you think a guy is player of the year to you knocking him all year. The only negative thing he was saying was that TO should back off of Parcels, which had nothing to do with TO's ability. TO was the immature one who took it to a new level and started talking trash about keyshawns career.

As far as Brennan goes, the system scares people because you have guys like timmy chang who was amazing at hawaii but couldnt even make a team in the nfl. Brennan does appear to be a very good pro prospect but having not played some of the tougher opponents in college its not as easy to see, all though its never easy to project QB talent. This draft will have a lot of QB's with solid potential and they could go in any sort of order in the draft so it will be interesting.

I hope your not refering to Brennan there. In case you did not know how he ended up in Hawaii here is a quick summary. Brennan went to Colorado at first but was kicked off the team for legal trouble. He got wasted and broke into a girls dorm room and refused to leave. He ended up pleading guilty to burglary and trespassing, served 7 days in jail and is still on probation from all of it as of today. There was also a lot of talk about some sort of sexual assualt and they tried to add an unlawful sexual conduct charge but there was no evidence so they had to drop that part. Just to be clear it was never persued that he raped her, it was not that serious and that wasnt what was meant by sexual conduct. So not to try to trash Brennan but I wouldnt label him the "All American Good Guy" either.

Oh aslo LE is your obsession with him come from him being Leinart's HS backup?
