brady choked. came thru for them at the end but it was too little too late. the pats are supposed to be a high scoring team... thats how they win games. the defense didnt allow any more points on this game then they usually would. they held the giants back for the first 3 quarters and their offense ****ed it up each time. brady had several terrible throws without much pressure. the only other main reason the pats ****ed up was when billechuck decided hey 4th and 13 in field goal range is no biggie lets just go for it anyway.

thank god for that. giants actually win something for once.

The reason the Patriots O couldn't do anything was because of the Giant's front seven.

I don't think Brady choke. After all he did put up that touch down late in the 4th Quarter and it appeart to be heading to a typical Patriots win.

I would say the Patriots Offense is the one that got choke in the end. There was a chance for an interception that would have seal the end for the Giants. I still think that the Giants defense is the one that won the game and not Manning.

i agree about the defense. manning ****ed up a couple times. tried to force the issue throwing to burress in the endzone when he was double covered and toomer was wide open for an 18 yard gain. and missing that throw to burress after he scrambled out of the pocket.

and brady did come thru for them at the end. but it was too little too late. the giants defense carried that game all 3 quarters.. they were tired. so of course brady marched down and scored. but had they taken this game alittle more seriously they mightve done that a bit more in the first 3 quarters. i saw several terrible throws from brady that couldve made a difference.

and the interference miss was a bit of a **** up but at least he was doing his job. the offense failed to do theirs for the first 3 quarters.

Brady also ****ed up too.

Everybody ****s up.

in other NFL news...

Mike Holmgren has announced that he will retire after the 2008 season, and at the same time Seattle announced they reached a new contract with Jim More Jr. which will make him the head coach starting in 2009.

On a related note, my brother got me Jim Mora (SR.)'s autograph at the National Convenience Store Convention back in December. I also got Denny Green's. It's even personalized, "To Chris...etc...". They were there on behalf of Coors Light, of course. No word if Parcells and Jimmy Johnson were there, but they were probably busy getting ready for the week's grueling Sunday Halftime Show broadcast.

I love it, "National Convenience Store Convention". Awesome.

Ok now. Season is over. Everybody aside from Lord Evo, Bot, Forum, sometimes Zeke, and sometimes Digi leave the forum now. Now its serious football talk. hahaha, see ye all back in October.

And lets count down to my favourite sporting event...the NFL DRAFT!!!!

We still have the pro bowl coming up. Isn't anybody looking forward to that?

**** no.

I'm all footballed out.

I couldnt care less about the Pro Bowl. I never watch any all star events. Just boring.

The Pro Bowl is overrated. I don't see why anyone would want to play in it, it's a risk of injury no matter how much they play.

don't confuse CONFIDENCE with ARROGANCE. they're different. I think he knows that he has talent, but he's also humble and greatful to have the weapons he has.

I've heard him say at one time that he wouldn't be able to do much without his team....

The reason I am rubbing it in about the Pats losing is that I got sick and tired of everyone, week after week, saying that they are the best team ever, that no one can beat them.

First off, Tom Brady is great, and he did his job this Super bowl. You cannot blame the loss on him, no matter how you put it.

I wish people would stop talking about the Pats O-Line like they're great. Anyone who thinks that they are really doesn't know anything about football. As seen on Sunday, the Pat's offensive line is average, at best. They were getting run through like tissue paper on both run and pass plays. Tom was on his back 23 times.

And about Moss; Tom won three Super Bowls without him. To say that he needs Moss to be considered anything other than "above average" is just dumb.

I've never seen this "cocky" behavior everyone's talking about, and there's nothing wrong with celebrating about a touchdown. It's a great feeling, one that you couldn't really understand unless you've scored one yourself. It warrants a degree of celebration, and still I've never seen any "over the top" celebrations from Brady.

He did his job on ONE DRIVE, the go ahead TD in the fourth quarter. The rest of the game he played like SHIT.

no he didn't!!
he had a pretty good passer rating along with several first downs to Wes Welker and Randy Moss.

but he didnt come through on the big plays like he normally does.

Brokeback Brady... crylaugh

Rewatched Super Bowl 42 yesterday. Just to go how finite football is: If, on the last drive, any one of these 3 things happen, the Pats are the Champs.

1) Jacobs doesn't get that right elbow over the first down marker on 4th and 1.
2) Seymour doesn't quit on the 3rd and 5 "Play of the Century" where Eli eludes 3 defenders and throws the bomb. Seymour had a clear shot at Eli but appears to have backed off because he thought his teammate was going to take Eli down.
3) Samuel doesn't let the ball go through his hands on 2nd and 5 (the play right before the "Play of the Century"😉.

And as a bonus: On the play right before the 4th and 1, if referee Mike Carrey doesn't let 11 seconds run off from the time Toomer catches it until the time they stop the clock for the measurement, the Pats may possibly get an extra 10 seconds on their last drive. Which for them is 2 plays.

I'd like to rephrase this. It should be:

"If Jarvis Green doesn't run into teammate Seymour, who clearly is in position to take Eli down. The grip is loosened, and that enables Eli to get away."

I watched it in real time yesterday but just confirmed that on a replay. I knew something was weird about it. My apologies to Seymour and his family.

I havet read through all the responses since the superbowl.Took me a while to get over the dissapointment of it all of the patriots not winning it all before i could come on here and post. This one really hurt me.Not since The raiders lost the superbowl-something that took me probably 2 years to get over and be able to talk about, have I been this dissapointed about a team i wanted to win not winning it.

well my 15 minutes passed and I also wanted to say I could not believe all the people down at my workplace and in the sports pages saying they thought this would be a blowout.I kept telling them-are you crazy? yeah they're undefeated but they just barely beat them earlier in the season finale game.have you forgotten about that game? I kept saying this game would be decided by another field goal, that the patriots would really struggle to win this game. It should have been obvious this was going to be a close game. Not only did they just barely beat them before having to come from 8 points down to do so,but the last month of the season, they did NOT look good in winning some of their games and they came against some real crappy teams as well.they should have lost to the Eagles and the Ravens and they only beat the jets by 10 points.Thats hardly dominating people. They hardly entered the playoffs dominating teams like the 86 Bears did or the 89 49ers.Plus they didnt look that great in their victorys over the chargers and Jaguars in the playoffs either.

I kept saying that if any team in the playoffs could beat them,it was the Giants.THEY entered the playoffs as the hottest team and playing the best.I really wanted to see them go undefeated. But the thing that hurts more than anything else is I really wanted Seau to get a superbowl ring.He may never get one now. 🙁

the one thing that makes me feel better about them losing though is I hate belecheck.he is so over rated as a coach. He would be nothing without Brady.Man I hate to think it might be another 35 years before a team goes undefeated again.I'll be an old man by then. 🙁

Belecheck proved he is over rated as a coach being such a moron and going for it on 4th and 13. Their offense had been playing horrible the whole game, kick the damn field goal for god sakes. He cost them the game right there.if he makes it,they then go to overtime.Genius my ass.Right now Randy Moss is not even in the same league as Jerry rice.Rice would have found a way to make that catch in the last seconds of the game.he always made amazing catches in big games.whats MOSS ever done in the PLAYOFFS? nothing. well the giants deserved it,they wanted it more,if the pats REALLY badly wanted this game, they would have sacked manning at the end those bastards. 😠

At least the Kansas City Clowns didn't win it.
