And he finally gets to be a head coach.

Lots of talk now about the walrus not really taking a year off and taking over in SanFran next year.

Wont be surprised.

It would be a good move on San Fran's front. He does do pretty well when taking over teams.

But I think it would be interesting to see if Singletary gets the job.

I just looked it up. Holmgren's 60, so I think it's doable. For some reason I always imagine him as being closer to 100.

Nah, man.

You got it all wrong.

Its 100 in Walrus years. He's around the same age as Crennal.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

Now that you brought it up, who do you think would win a 10-yard dash between Mike Holmgren and Romeo Crennel? And would their combined times be faster than Andy Reid's efforts?

Tough. Probably be faster than Rieds, but not as fast the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man Phillips.

When exactly will Tony Romo return?

Probably not until after the bye week, which is in 3 weeks.

The Cowboys are done.

The coaching staff, special teams and defense cant overcome the offense.

There are rumors that Chicago is working on their own wildcat offense with Hester at QB.

Can he throw?

It's getting popular. Word out of Cleveland is that they're going to let Shaun Rogers run the wildcat offense. Except they're going to call it the "Stinky Dawg" spread.

Wouldn't surprise me if they did.

well typically if its a pass its going to get reversed back to the QB who would be out at WR. I think Ronnie has only thrown 1 pass out of it and the guy was wide open enough any one could of thrown it to him. The article I saw on ESPN about it said they could also use Wolfe at QB, I would be more concerned with Hesters ability to survive running up the middle on a keeper.

Will he have anything left for the season??

He's expected to be completely healthy after the bye. Worse case scenario is Dallas will be 4-5. They have a tough schedule ahead, but if they can win the rest of their games, 11-5 will get them into the playoffs.

Of course, that's just wishful thinking. The Cowboys have a lot more problems than just Romo being gone. Wade Phillips getting more involved in how the defense is coached is evident of that. They should promote Dave Campo back to defensive coordinator. He was damn good at it.

Why didn't Jerry Jones go after some DB's since Dallas needs help there?

Probably because there's really no good secondary players on the market right now. Once Terrance Newman gets healthy, the secondary should be decent again.

Yeah, and I think the CB's will eventually alright.

I think the problem is the overall defense. Its not just the secondary, its the lack of pass rush that is killing them. During the Rams game, some plays went on for 6 seconds or more. No CB can cover a WR for more than 6 seconds. Thats ridiculous to think that.

Outside of Ware and maybe Bradie James, no other defense player has played like they used to.The D-Line is getting dominated and the rest of the LB's are not making tackles.

I actually think the secondary has alright. Nothing spectacular but decent. The defense has played alright.

Yea the broncos D is terrible even with Bailey and Bly at corner. Covering a WR is incredibly hard seeing as you never really know where he will go, every second longer you ask a corner to stay in man coverage is an extra second you are risking getting burned.
