Saints offense = shit without Bush.

My god, score a ****in Touchdown, run the ball, convert a 3rd down, do something!

And as I type this, Deuce strolls in for a TD. Finally!

Too bad it's too late.

Oh and their offense is shit without bush? Lets see they had I think 25 first downs, they were 7/15 or so on 3rd down and they had over 500 yards. Seems to me offense wasnt exactly the issue.

This is why I do not argue with Boxscore experts. Watch the game before you try to argue with someone who did.

I know I couldn't help myself in the past with you, but this week I wont even bother.

But I will say that the Saints problems doesn't stop with their offensive production without Bush, they have a horrid defense. No pressure on the QB, cornerbacks can't cover, safeties are non existent and can't stop a team a 3rd down to save their lives.

Can't wait until next week.

The majority of the problems is the defense.

If they had any resemblance of defense, they could easily win games without Bush. That saying, with Bush on the Saints team with that shitty defense gives them 9-7 record instead of an 8-8, or 7-9.

But the Saints offense isnt bad. Its the ****ing defense.

The Colts on the other hand, I dont really know what to say about them. They lose horribly to a 4-5 team, but then win against the Patriots and beat the Steelers. I dont get it. If only that offense was playing like they have been, that team would be one of the top teams in the league.

I didnt see every play but I did watch the game, which was obvious by my Miller was holding comment earlier. Stats dont always mean everything but bottom line is if a team is good on 3rd down, they move the ball, and they get 500+ yards of offense then offense isnt the biggest issue. You could say they need Bush to be able to put the ball in the endzone maybe but not that they have no offense without him. This is sort of like you blaming Payton for being a terrible play caller earlier in the year.

You could have easily seen that on a game break.

But it's like I said, the majority of those yards and points came in the 4th quarter, when the game was already in hand. Payton likes to pad those stats at the end of games. That is why they had 300 yards of offense in the 4th, the game was already over. Even then, they still only scored 14 points.

But it's obvious to anyone who watched that the game that the Saints had some serious problems on offense, and even worse on defense. But the defensive problems are to be expected. Their offense is designed around Bush, Brees said they had to throw all those plays out of the playbook, which is probably why their offense looked like shit today.

I dont really think the offense is specially designed for Bush.

I would think that the offense has alot of plays for Bush, but not even 50%.

The way I see is that the Colts offense has serious problems, while the Saints do not.

Their offense is definitely designed around Bush.

I disagree with you.

I would think that offense is designed around Bree's considering he's on pace to break the passing yardage record.

A few things I've noticed.

Why do refs ever call blocks in the back on offensive plays?
Why do announcers still think the problems with the Colts is always on defense?

And why is it that on the last 300 horsecollar calls I've seen, no one has gotten hurt? Was it because none of them involved T.O.?

I know.

They have the horsecallar rule, and the slap in the head for QB's, but there isnt any on field punishment for safeties taking WR's heads off with a helmet hit, or shoulder hit when they are defenseless. Considering the amount of times it happens and the WR is hurt (which must be 80 per cent of the time) its quite funny its not a 15 yard penalty.

Breaking news, Andy Reid fired and Charlie Manuel to take his place for the rest of the season. 13

Seriously, why the hell did they decide to run it on 3rd and 4th down? For one, they are not a power running team, and even though Westbrook is an amazing RB, he wasn't doing anything the entire game. What made Andy Reid think that would all change on the biggest play of the game?

Look forward to watching Kurt Warner tonight

Looking forward to finally getting some sleep on a Monday night.

Yea I feel like with that team if you do some sort of roll out/bootleg and give mcnabb a run throw option getting short yardage should be easy. Have Westbrook as the short dump off, curtis going short across the field and jackson stretching them deep. That plus mcnabbs legs gotta imagine u can pick up short yardage in 2 attempts.

wow the 49's pretty much just executed the end of that game like a bunch of 5 year olds were at the controls.

I saw all this gibberish about the Saints of all teams, so I decided to watch the ShortCuts replay of the ATL/NO game yesterday.

Man, I thought Big Ben looked bad on Sunday. At least he looked halfway decent on most of his throws and chose not to throw into quintuple coverage every other attempt.

I know Brees is supposedly the favorite to win the MVP award (for a losing team), but he was anything but that on Sunday, and I highly doubt Reggie Bush's jockstrap not being on the field had much to do with it. I don't care if the plays changed because Mr. Bush wasn't there to do a Heisman pose in the end zone, any good QB can make adjustments and complete passes when they're trying to erase a deficit. Just look at Tyler Thigpen this past Sunday, for crying out loud.

Abraham was neutralized for the most part, so there wasn't much of a pass rush. Even with all day to throw, it went like this: skip pass, pass to a guy blanketed by a Falcon, pass to a Falcon, 20-yard completion over the middle, moon ball out of bounds, 10-yard completion, pass to a Falcon, pass to a guy covered by 4 Falcons, skip pass, pass 5 yard in front of the WR, 18 yard completion, pass into triple coverage, pass out of bounds, scramble around for 20 seconds at the Falcon 30 only to lob the ball into the marching band, 4-yard completion, screen pass for no gain, pass into double coverage, pass to a Falcon, hail mary, end of game.

If anyone has the game on tape, re-watch the Saints series with 2 or 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter for a bit of comic relief.

I think Warner might be the favorite for MVP right now of all people. Although someone here would have us believe that its still a bad idea he is starting over leinart.

Evo, how come you don't rush to the aid of Troy Polamalu? Did he not make enough headlines for USC when he was there?

A lot of people said "if Troy had only hung onto that Pick 6, they would have been up 24-7 and could've pinned their ears back against Manning from there on out." That would be your cue to jump to Troy Trojan's defense and say, "But the TE got his hand in there to break up the potential INT."

*sigh, I love venting through another mediums.

Hahahah.

You know, he only likes offensive stars. Where was the discussion about how Kieth Rivers got his face broke by Hines Ward?

haha, yeah. Considering it was an SEC player that broke his face, it would have been a very sensitive subject.
