Giants lost.

LOL!

**** me.

They actually won.

I will say one thing about the Steelers on their march to the playoffs. No one can say they "didn't play anybody."

With opponents including NY Giants, Baltimore (twice), New England, Indianapolis, Dallas, Philadelphia, San Diego, Washington (when they were good), and Tennessee next week, they're going to be about as battle tested as you can get for the playoffs.

They had a very hard schedule. Although I still cant believe how they beat the Ravens in either of the games. And I still dont understand the justification for overturning that call.

Yeah, I was suprised, too. I was already gearing up for the big fourth down decision from Mike Tomlin. Though I'm starting to like him more, his decision-making ability in those kind of situations still blows.

I find it ironic that when downing a punt, if you're in the end zone but the ball isn't, it's a touchback. But if you're in the end zone on a reception and the ball isn't, it's not a touchdown.

Also, the best referee explanation of the day came in the Colts/Lions game. On a fumble, the ref was trying to say that the ball was away from the body of the player, and he ended up saying that the player was "out of body."

I can feel the hate burning between these two. But it's the 4th quarter and Dallas is leading. Neither team have look aggressive...I was hoping this game to be the ticking bomb fans were saying all week.

The old adage "Winning cures everything" was evidently shown last night...

The Cowboys needed to win the game and they did despite ConspiraGate..

But I'm sure the next timne the Cowboys lose then the usual stuff will happen..

As for the Giants, this is back to back games that The Giants are not impressive whatsoever...

They clearly miss Burress and that Giant O-Line is atrocious..

If Jacobs is not completed healthy their will not be a Giant return to the Superbowl

lol missed that one.

Yea the rules need clarifying some. The big problem I had was when the ref said his decision he said the player had 2 feet down in the endzone with possession so it was a TD. He never said the ball crossed the plain. It seemed to me the ref had the rule wrong and wasn't even looking at the what actually mattered in the replay and that was did the ball break the plain or not. (I think it was very close but too close to overturn whatever way was called on the field personally)

Also like you said with a punt if a guy was to catch a ball in the back of the end zone the ball could be a foot out of bounds but if the feet are in it counts because the ball has already crossed the plain while going in? They really need to address it. I wanna try to catch the NFL official guy who comes on NFL network and explains the controversial calls of the week to see how he tries to justify the latest ref blunder.

This also changes again with a QB crossing the line of scrimmage. It doesnt matter if the feet or ball cross the line at all the entire body has to cross it which is counter to every other thing in the NFL.

I seriously hate the sports writers in football right now.

For the whole season, they go and on about how the Giants are the best team in the league and that Coughlin should get an induction in the Hall of Fame once he wins this years SB.

Now after two games against division opponents who had to win to keep alive, they are now saying they have serious problems. I just don't get how writers and the NFL fans are soo "right now" people. We all know that the regular season generally does not show us who will win or who will lose. Especially this year with no dominant team. At first, I was expecting a article saying that the Dallas defense is playing to its potential and seriously keeping the Cowboys in contention. And I get an article saying either team does not look ready for January football. I would say that the Cowboys, if they make, with that defense playing really well, they could make it. Why not? You don't need a high powered offense to win games, you need a defense that is playing well. Same with the Giants.

Another article about short handed sports writers.

About the topic of Pennington and Joey Porter. He basically said that if Porter breaks the Strahan record for sacks that he should be a good consideration for MVP.

Excuse me, DeMarcus Ware has 19 sacks and it just dominated a line that only allowed 12 sacks all year. The defensive player of the year is Ware, or Harrison and maybe Polamula. Porter might get it, but probably wont.

Yea I would say its between Ware, Harrison, and Ed Reed actually above Polamalu

Well I was supposed to be at this game tonight, but for the 2nd time now the dude that was supposed to get me the tickets screwed me.(I was supposed to go to the Thanksgiving game too vs. Cardinals.) Normally I wouldn't care, but around here Eagles tickets are sold out ridiculously fast and the prices are like triple the prices of every other sport, so the last game I've been too was Eagles vs. Vikings back in the old Eagles stadium.

Thank god it's not like that for Phillies games, which I enjoy the most anyway.

I agree dude and hopefully some of those young receivers will step up and catch some goddamn balls because Hines Ward can't do it all by himself.

The three way race to clench the division in the AFC east has been pretty exciting.

I'm pulling for Miami but, it's anybody's game.

Hell, I'm happy to see the turn around Miami has done compared to last years season. From 1-15 to, thus far, 9-5. They've already surpassed my expectations.

I predict all three teams beating their opponents in the next game. With the Pats possibly losing to the Cardinals but, dammit, they just seem to get better with every game.

I'm anticipating the last game of the regular season with the Dolphins v Jets. Should be a good one.

Agreed, but I would throw Abraham into the mix as well. Ware might have the inside track, but who knows how many more sacks Harrison might have if they actually called holding on the other team's LT once in a blue moon.

Yeah, I would also think Ware will too, especially if he continues his hot streak.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harrison gets it just because of the fact that the Steelers defense is better than the Cowboys.

Who do you think will win the MVP? I think if the Colts win out and win 9 straight they should give it to Manning!

Pro Bowl is interesting. It is crazy how much better the RB's are in the NFC. How is Deangello Williams not a pro bowler!? THis guy better get in as an alternate. Just for the record I would leave Portis out for him EASY.

Also as much as seattle blew I would take Carlson over Cooley (and I like Cooley)

but lets look at the numbers:

764 yards, 1 TD's, 7 of 20+, 3 Fumbles
601 yards, 4, TD's, 10 of 20+, 0 Fumbles

Ill trade a few yards for scores and holding onto the ball

As much as this year sucked I think we at least finally found a legit offensive weapon at TE. Hopefully he doesnt develop into a big vag like jeremy stevens.

As for the Cowboys pick, it was pretty obvious for the defensive players and Witten.

I kinda of wished Bradie James was there. Ah well.

also just noticed Warner/fitz/boldin are all starters. and Favre made it? wtf? Phillip Rivers got shafted hard he should have been the #1 QB on the AFC.

Yeah, shouldnt of been there.

I think Manning deserves it over Rivers for starting position.
