the problem with valuable part is a ton of people fit. Say you just look at those that are gonna make the playoffs and then pick the guy most valuable to their team. Well the colts would likely be about 4-12 without manning so isnt he automatic? Cowboys clearly were not fit for the NFL without Romo, The only reason the redskins have accomplished anything is Portis taking over games but they most likely wont be in the playoff picture and portis is hurt so who knows what the end of his season will look like.

Its such a hard award and lacks a clear distinction of what you should base it on. If the Vikes make it the playoffs I predict Peterson gets it, because he will be the top RB in the league and the only way they are making it is if he carries them in these final 4 games. Also because then voters dont have to decide between a mess of QB's some who have the stats some who have the "valuable" quality.

True. This year, there isn't a clear cut winner. I think Manning should easily get some recognition. He single handily made them stay in the playoff hunt with a bum knee and a leaky defense. Defense is playing well so its not really much but the Colts were awful in the first 6-7 games.

Oh but on D player of the year I will say it is James Harrison's to lose.

I will say this: I haven't been this excited about a Steelers LB since Greg Lloyd, and that includes players such as Joey Porter, Jason Gildon (all time sack leader), Kevin Greene, James Farrior, and Levon Kirkland.

Harrison's reign of terror actually began in 2004, when after Joey Porter and some Browns guy got into a spitting match before the game, Porter was ejected prior to kickoff. Harrison came in and played like a champ. It was mind-boggling that it took him until 2007 to crack the starting lineup, especially with that goon Clark Haggans in there at LOLB.

Steelers/Cowboys this Sunday. 18 degrees for the low with strong winds and 50% chance of snow showers.

Now that's football.

May not watch tonight's game...

I'll just catch the lowlights on NFL Network once the game is over

Definitely ground game weather, which doesn't bode well for the Cowboys. IMO, Barber is a better RB than Parker, but we don't know the status of his foot. If it's still sore, the cold might make it stiffen up even more.

I would say that we are screwed but the Steelers defense is based around speed more than it used to be and the Cowboys defense is not.

It might actually help the Cowboys, but it wont if we don't get Barber back (and I mean as his usual self and not the LT version). Barber and snow just sounds like a good combination.

yea beyond the hit they would take in the run game, I would have to imagine choice would struggle against the steelers blitz packages.

Probably.

I do like Choice though. Good runner.

I wonder how the cold will affect Portis's nagging injuries.

Barber is out for the game against the Steelers. Just in time for my playoff push. face-plain

****. We're definitely not winning.

Vikings and Eagles win! w00t
Falcons and Cowboys lose! w00t Now the Ravens have to win.

There goes the season.

At least the team is filled with youngsters and not like the Patriots. That defense has looked strong for quite some time. Hopefully Jerry Jones, when he fires Phillips picks somebody who whip the team up to shape so they don't constantly kill themselves.

vikings didnt deserve that win, what a joke they were lucking out against the lions. But I gotta hand it to Tavarias playing huge when he came in. They are likely going to lose Williams/WIlliams eventually though and because they are trying to draw it out that means they are gonna lose them in the playoffs, so even if they make it they are screwed. I really dont get why at times Peterson touches the ball so little on that team.

It was really nice to see Seattle play well on both sides of the ball only allowing 1 offensive TD other than one caused be a retarded penalty. And as much as it sucked to have them blow it on the final drive for the 3rd time in 4 games I was actually glad. At this point its all about the draft pick. Come on bengals win another game!

(whoops double post)

STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't see any highlights besides on the fastest 3 minutes but the Vikings always suck against the Lions. They beat them by 2 the first time.

Not impressed with the Giants either way...

To lose to the Eagles when they shouldn't have

I don't take any mind for that game. It's a division game, the Giants have nothing to work for now and the Eagles are in desperation mode.

its not like they lost to the Lions or Raiders. The Eagles are a good team.
