Yea I don't understand letting Jones leave just to sign LT.

Will they be on par?

Probably.

But it seems the move was to get LT, thinking a new team will make him into the player he was and forget that he lost a step.

Hate to say it, but I think Limas is as good as gone. Wallace/Ward/Holmes aren't going anywhere, so unless he can somehow beat both Randle El and Arnaz Battle for the #4 spot, he has really no purpose on the roster.

BUT...the good news is that he does have trade value. A change of scenery might be all he needs. Some team might give up a 5th for him.

I somehow get that confused a lot.

He really doesn't, he was doing pretty good catching in preseason as in going over defenders and catching in traffic then he started playing like he did last season again.

Unless he changes I would be glad for a 5th round pick, maybe we can find a sleeper.

I'm thinking him running behind a line that gives him holes to run through will make him into the player he was. At least better than Jones.

I don't think so.

Because the run blocking in San Diego was just so stellar?

Because I think he lost a step.

He didn't have the same burst of speed that he does. Also, he's 30 years old in a position that really doesn't age well (like a QB). How many other RB's with that many carries do well after 30. Not alot. Look at Shaun Alexander and others.

Was the offensive line amazing last year? I don't really know but looking at the Chargers now, I don't see is awful. Also, passing took a front seat so it should of opened a few running lanes for LT but he couldn't get that second gear and run past the front 7.

Look at his run per carry. 3.3, not so great.

Could have a little to do with the FB position too, I've seen Lorenzo Neal 60 yards down field lead blocking for LT.

I know Steven Jackson said at one point that was a problem for him to run without a FB.

And Reggie's Bush's YPC was 3.7 until is ballooned to 5.6 when the Saints run blocking improved. It's all about the offensive line. Look at Adrian Peterson's finish to the season. Just terrible.

A potent passing game doesn't make the line block better. Joseph Addai is a pretty good back, but he averages less than 4 ypc playing with Peyton Manning.

Tomlinson may have a lost step, but he's still a pretty good back. He will do good behind the Jets great run blocking.

Well guess that answers the will Seattle draft a QB question. Traded for Whitehurst, I feel like we gave up way more than he is worth but if he can be a solid starter I guess it comes out pretty cheap. The 2nd round swap part just really bothers me, 3rd round in 2011 should have been enough.

I'm surprised that the Cowboy's havn't done anything at all.

OMG!!!!! u have to c it.....blazin fast!!! 1st overall!!!

Hardy har har.

It almost got me.

It sound legit unlike most April Fool's joke.

I was like, "hmmm this sounds plausible, but why would he play for a shitty ****ing division (it might not be real either)".

Jesus,

The Eagles trade McNabb for a second rounder to the Redskins.

Why would you trade to division opponent. Whose to bet McNabb has a field day against the Eagles this season.

As we speak, NFL schedule makers are shredding the current proposed schedule to ensure both Redskins vs. Eagles games are on prime time TV. In fact, Daniel Snyder is holding them at gunpoint.

Hahaha, yeah.

I'm surprised the Eagles couldn't get more from another team.

Who's up for making 8 new threads for all the divisions? I'd like to start with an AFC South thread that chronicles every play the Jaguars, Texans, & Co. make. Then Smas can make the NFC West thread that deciphers every move made by the 49ers & Rams.

I will cover the CFL East with a special focus on the Montreal Alouettes.

Redskins are gonna beat the Eagles twice.
