With Peyton at the helm, healthy, the Colts are contenders.
They'll probably make the playoffs but I highly doubt they will continue in the playoffs.
After watching today, usually, when Colts are down they come back. But unfortunately, they didn't. Payton makes them a easy 8 win team but he can't do everything. Case in point - today. He played great but the defense let the team down.
That's why I hate it when pundits blame losses and reward wins on QB's all the time.
Another point. Watching the Eagles and Packers. If the league wants 18 games, I cannot see it being a good thing when everybody gets injured. Your likely to see more penalties during the game to stop people from tackling a certain way.

I try not to read too much into the first 1/4 of the season.
Oh I was waiting for that fumble.
Typical Cowboys again. Should be doing much better but instead of getting a field goal or touchdown to make the game interesting, they fumble in their own end without any time left for a touchdown.
What would make it better is if the Redskins go down the field and score 17 unanswered points.
****ing Cowboys.
Reminds me of the first Giants game last year at the start of the season.
A few things...defense play absolutely fantastic. They made the plays they needed to make and held the Redskins to 6 points.
The offense. Austin and Bryant will make a fantastic combo for this season while the running game can be good. Romo played pretty damn well this game.
Problems. ****ing coaching like usual.
So what did everyone think about the ending to the Lions/Bears game? I definitely thought Calvin Johnson caught the ball. Apparently they got call right as far strictly to the rules but they need to change that rule because common sense after seeing the replay is that he caught the ball. Glad I'm not a lions fan although we (Being the Chargers) got screwed by a call a few seasons ago so I can relate to the feeling.
No they didn't. They didn't change the rule. The rule has always been there.
The rule is that the person completed the process of the catch. He did not. He was still falling when he had the ball, the ball was in his hand, when it hit the ground, he didnt have control of the ball.
It's the same rule they have if the ball wasn't in the touchdown area.

The rule is bad. It was a catch and a TD. He had control in the air, when his feet hit, and when his ass and elbow hit. At that point it should be over and be a TD. Looked to me like he dropped it when he put his hand on the ground getting back up. Lions got screwed by a bad rule.

I don't see a difference between what Johnson did and if the person landed on the ground on his back and the ball popped out.
