NFL Talk

the ravnes game was bull shit.. if i found out the refs were paid off i would not be suprised in the least. This year has had more blown calls and even blown replays then any other time ive ever seen. It is horrific how many bad calls i see every week. The 2 players being ejected was BS, nfl refs are lame. The goal line play? Pinner was not even CLOSE to getting in. And you COULD see it on the replay. If you looked at the 2 angles, on one you could cleary see his knee go down right at the 1 yard line, and on the other at that same time you could see no ball over the line, and many ravens players blocking the line, with no view of pinner or the ball beyond them at the time his knee went down. From the first view you could also see him start to crawl forward after going down which is why the delayed call was made, because he went down then crawled up and stuck the ball in the endzone and the stupid ref believed that he did that without going down. The blown safety call in skins game, blown fumble call in lions game, blown fumble call last week with texans, last week bad pass int call on seattle.. these are only a few calls that CHANGED games in HUGE ways.. the NFL needs to sit down all the refs and have them watch a tape of all the calls they have royaly screwed up.. oh yea the lions vs bucs.. taking away pollards TD.. so many f'd up calls that are seriously hurting team's seasons.

lol its a conspiracy. did you hear last night when Keiwan Raitliff called for fair catch and then when it was a touchback he blocked, then the refs were talking and he said "he faircatched and blocked" then the other guy said " dont tell the whole world" and called holding or something lol Refs are retarded sometimes.

The worst call i ever seen was two years ago Minnesota vs arizona. Minnesota's CB (forget who) cleary was running out of bounds , knocked lose the ball in arizona's reciever's hands. and recovered...tell me that isnt illegal touch..they let it go lol.

tonight there was just a bad one.. Ward had a TD no question about it.. how do you **** up with replay?

I dunno but it seems like the Refs are afraid to piss off the home crowd.

Anyway I did horrible in picks this week lmao...But here is week 6

Atlanta at New Orleans - Even if Matt Schaub plays, Atlanta will win big. ( a future Starter...wherever that may be, if he keeps up that play he had last week!) Also one can't help but wonder...He made Michael Vick look expendable lol. Although it was only one game. /shrug Maybe Vick will step up his passing game now =P.
Carolina at Detroit - This one is tough...Carolina wins it though. I think Detroit just looked better then they really are against the Ravens.
Cincinnati at Tennessee - Tennessee always plays Cincinnati Tough...If you ask me, this is the game that proves Cincinnati is a contender. Beat one of the demons of your past! Cincinnati edges out a win. Palmer gets his come back victory , and nothing spoils it this week. =)
Cleveland at Baltimore - I am really torn here...Braylon Edwards won't play most likely with that elbow infection. But the Browns haven't been playing bad. I will go with Cleveland.
Jacksonville at Pittsburgh - My Upset of the week. Jacksonville wins it.
Miami at Tampa Bay - Tampa Bay
Minnesota at Chicago - Minnesota..If not I have a feeling this will be Tice's Fairwell game.
N.Y. Giants at Dallas - I know Dallas beat the Eagles...But Mcnabb is hurt( he really should have had surgery.). If Brunell can make Dallas's secondary look bad, how about eli to Buress? ( as much as I hate to say it, i hate Eli.) Giants win.
Washington at Kansas City - Kansas City's Potent offense against Washington's potent defense. On the flip side...Washington's weak offense against Kansas City's Weak Defense. Kansas city is at home, Ill give them the nod.
New England at Denver - Denver.
N.Y. Jets at Buffalo - Buffalo
San Diego at Oakland - Could be a good game. Sucks San Diego lost tonight to the steelers...THey'll win this one though.
Houston at Seattle - Houston is going to pick first in the draft. I think Carr is still good enough to be their QB. he has ability, just is on a horrible team. Maybe they take that Matt Leinhart Winning lotto ticket and trade it for alot like San Diego did with Eli Manning! =) and upgrade their O-Line!
Monday, Oct. 17 St. Louis at Indianapolis - I'm not about to pick against the colts. lol
Open date: Arizona, Green Bay, Philadelphia, San Francisco

damn, the skins go down, didn't look very good at all, this time i got to watch the highlights and see the other team dominate. Anyone know what the deal is with lavar arrington? trying to find something at the official site.

btw, my picks were horrible last week

For those of you who saw that fair catch muff debacle last night and were wondering about the dumbest rule in the book, here it is:

Rule 10:
Section 1:
Article 4- Supplemental Note (2).

"After a valid fair catch signal, the opportunity to make a catch does not end when a kick is muffed. The player who signaled fair catch must have a reasonable opportunity to catch the ball before it hits the ground without being interfered with by the members of the kicking team."

Apparently you can muff it all the way down to the end zone.

My pics are in BOLD and i went with 6 under dog picks

Oh I never actually said who would win the houston seatlle game...Just went on about their Leinhart Lotto. Seattle wins. lol

im not sure how their cap looks, but if they end up with the #1 and have cap room I think Carr needs to go and get leinhart.. or they would just trade the pick to whoever wants leinart for a lower 1st round pick and a player or 2.. because this is gonna be a very demanded 1st round pick because of the amount of teams with poor 1st string or older QB's

I still think Carr has ability...he just needs a damn O-Line and more reliable back. Maybe he would do better on another team though.../shrug. I'm interested to see what happens to phillip Rivers (Im not too big on him myself...I understand San Diego at the time needed a QB, but I think they reached.)

Also I am a fan of Billy Volek...he would be an upgrade over ALOT of people...Could you imagine him in Arizona or Detroit? lol Matt Schaub as well. Although It is hard to get traded in the NFL.

Another guy is Jon Kitna...I think he could perform too. I hate the Ravens and dont wanna see him go to a division rival, but I think they could use him , or Even the Bears (although unlike on the Bears official message board, I agree with letting Orton stay in there...I think he will develop.).
Also .. I bet Brady Quinn makes a good transition..He is a Junior so he wont be out this year..but he gets better every year..kinda like palmer did. Notre Dame will be a frontrunner next year for the National Title imo. (I really hope they beat USC)

i agree about volek and schuab. But teams do not like trades especially young QB's Vick is the biggest risk of any QB there is so its important to have a guy who can step up in his absence.. especially because he could end his season/career on any play. And Volek is similar.. McNair is ending the end of his career (atleast I hope he is..) So why trade your future away? Like in KC larry johnson is the future #1 RB so even though they have priest now they are keeping LJ. It is a shame though a lot of talent sits on the side lines.. never know what some people may have been.. often takes an injury to find out a guy has real potential.

Well it is how we discovered Favre (He beat my bengals and was behind!), And Tom Brady. (many others too, Hell even Roethlisberger shined when Maddox went down. Had a perfect Rookie Season lol Woulda never been able to claim that if not for maddox going down)

funny to think the falcons once had brett farve..

yeah it is lol.

I still wonder what is gonna happen with Phillip Rivers...I still say they trade him for a 1st round pick...I guarantee they'd get one. Probally not an overall #1, but still...Why trade Brees? Why change what is working. Although I have a feeling Brees will be traded, otherwise they would have gave him a long year deal instead of the Franchise Tag.

Kinda have a feeling Rivers isn't gonna have much success. He might turn out to be average or above average...but he won't be a Palmer, Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, or whatnot.

Well, they gave him the franchise tag to see if he will have the same season. Whats the point of giving somebody a big contract for one good year, when he has had 2 subpar years.

This year, they will give him a big contract and trade Rivers.
I still think Rivers will be successful. You havnt really seen him in action to even say he wont be good.
I could see a team like Dallas or something like that pick him up.

Lol I didnt put any money on it. I saw him in college. I mean no one else has seen anymore really lol. I didn't say he would be a bust, but one has to wonder...when was the last time 3 awesome QB's were picked in the 1st round of the same draft? =).

Plus 2 subpar years isnt really that bad. Joey harrington is working on his 4th... and Drew's 1st full season wasn't that bad for a 1st season, especially considering he threw 526 times lol he has thrown considerably less since. I understand the "wait and see" Philosophy though. I was just speculating. Hell even if Drew does good, who is to say they wont still trade him? No one knows .

Lol are you sure you just arent wishing Dallas gets him and he is successful? =) Not a bad wish though. If that did happen that would be huge for Dallas. Wonder If bledsoe would mind mentoring? =)

ive heard them say they have no intention on trading either of them.. should trade him to the lions for a good WR would help both teams

I am A Titans guy, but I like other teams too, and I hope Tenesee has A good season and makes it to the super bowl.

have you been watching? that has like no chance of happening just so you know. Its about time they give vollek his shot

True, you should wait. But this day in age, two years to not perform, its gonzo for you. The older coaches cant wait for a qb, they have to win now. But, it was stupid of them to pick up Rivers. But, at that time, it sounded like a good plan.

Hahaha, yeah. But he's a professional, he'll deal with it. But I know they wont pick up Rivers. They'll draft one 2 years from now.
