Nice. Do you have any suggestions on how to strengthen my striking ability with my knees and elbows?
I'm not a trainer, but i'd say hit the bag... Good technique as well. Always drive through with your knee strikes. Picture your knee going through his chest and out his back. Keep your toes down, when u throw knees... Extend all the way off your planted foot, you should be on your toes when you impact.
Keep your hand open and relaxed when you throw elbows... If you're clinched fist, your 4-arm will be tight, and the strike is slower. Even a glancing blow from an elbow, can open up a cut, so don't worry about power 2 much... Good technique, and speed equals power.

Man... Franklin got crushed.
Anyone see that Sell/Smith fight last night? Smith got rocked with a body blow, and as Sell rushed in to finish, Smith threw one last desperate punch, that caught Sell right on the jaw and dropped him. It was awesome.
Originally posted by trademarkno it will heal. im surprised something like that happens. im guessing he was an amateur fighter. fighters that are experienced in kicking and punching should not have problems with their legs breaking during situations like that.
man i would not be surprised if it never healed
whenever kickboxers/muay thai kickboxers train, their legs get used to the pain from kicking the training bags. the calcium bonds break and new and more calcium bonds are formed in the regions where the pain is expressed. so im just guessing the guy wasn't experienced enough.
I file under shit happens.
I was at a powerlifting meet like 2yrs ago a guy named ross crogen who has been around powerlifting like 23 years at the time on his first attempt on the squat right has he got parelell his right leg just folded under him it took him forever and I just heard he's back at it but freak things can happen. Cro cop has broke and fractured his feet countless times from soccer kicks stomps etc.
I got a gif somewhere that shows a mma fighter breaking his wrist like that from punching a guy on top of his head I will look for it now it will make you sick..
