Well the decision to buy a PS3 gets even more backup since my 360 has begun to glitch, and I will trade it before it dies on me. I won't let Microsoft laugh at my misfortune AGAIN so this time they will lose a fan because of the faulty hardware.

Thing is the Wii is getting really attractive...however MGS4 love will probably make me stay PS3.

Does anyone have an idea of how much Gamestop or EB will give me for:

Xbox 360 + Hard drive + extra controller
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4
Gears of War
Rainbow Six Vegas
Mass Effect
Bioshock
Dead or Alive 4
Battlefield

Yeah I know about their cheap trade-ins but I am better off trying that gamble than having the 360 break on me and thus make me lose hair and my cool by having to send it to repair for what will take forever. Don't give me that "it will be back in 4 days" bullshit Microsoft. Shove it up your ass.

By the way does the PS3 have a DVD player? I know the question is somewhat dumb, but still...

Also, dont expect a 360 version of MGS4 ever as its confirmed that they somehow filled a blu-ray disc to the point where they are needing to cut content in order to fit it all on the disc. I dont know how they filled it but as it stands it would take 4 or 5 360 CDs in order to port the game to the 360.

I must admit that I wonder how that has been done.

the only logical reason is that there is an anus load of uncompressed audio or something.

Lost Oddyssey has 4 discs, so I don't think it is that far fetched for them to release another game with a collection of discs, but point taken.

Yea but Kojima already hates porting things, when he did the port of MGS2 for Xbox he said he hated it and would never port a MGS game again. And having tech limitations is something he hates, so having to put the game on 5 discs isnt probably great incentive to do a port. However even if there is a port it'll be like 2 years away.

i can see the massive amounts of data that MGS4 takes up being hundreds of extra hours of lovely jubbly cut scenes....as always

not saying it wont be great...just that it's definitely going to be mostly cut scenes

anyways, I seriously can't imagine how they managed to exceed the the free space of a BR disk, maybe cutscenes, but I'm thinking most of that will be audio files, not only cutscenes, but there's also the codec calls: you know hearing Otacon talk about memes, anime an what not...
I heard somewhere Heavenly Sword's audio took up to 10 gigs...

i have sold my xbox 360 with a similar library of games too just a few weeks ago to EB games. I got about $230 for it all, and i bought my xbox 360 approx. 12 monthes ago. and so i just paid 200 bucks for a PS3.

why are you guys still arguing about this? how long has this debate been going on............2-3years?

its not coming to 360, and if it did, it would be the crap version.

I would love to get final cut pro for PC, but it won't happen.

if you want to play halo 3 and gow...get an xbox

if you want to play mgs4, ff13, and sony's 1st party titles.....get a ps3

if you want to play mario, zelda, and metroid.........get a wii

if you are in the likely situation of wanting to play all of these....then you are going to have to get all 3 systems.

I'm planning on getting a ps3 and a wii. I teeter on wanting to eventually get a 360, but whats keeping me is:

1. a lot of their games are on pc

2. playing online is something I'm not really into, and having to pay a fee just so I can get a message that says "you've been killed by spoogemaster217" is not on my list of todo things

3. its a piece of junk and everyone knows this. (yes..I said it, what are you gonna do?)

I really hope someone dies in this consol war, cuz these kind of debates are giving me a headache.

to get the world back to just having nintendo, the power house consol, and PC, i would imagine the gaming community would be much more tranquill>
