How would Zero Suit have a smash attack? Unless you can start the fight as Zero Suit, maybe it'll happen then.

What are you talking about? Anyone who played the Genesis Sonic will tell you Super Sonic is difficult to control because of his speed. And it seems that Super Sonic can't die from going off screen so I really don't see a problem here.

And to be fair; the dude that was playing Sonic...sucked pretty much.
