I predict Brawl will be better than Galaxy. Fighting this highly customizable, with beloved characters beating the crap out of each other, cannot fail.
I predict you really can't compare the two where Galaxy is using the Wii to revolutionize gaming and the way you play on the Wii; Brawl will pretty much remain the same as Melee but with stage creator, Final Smashes, online play, record games, the huge new single player, and all the new (and old) characters added into it.
I think Galaxy will be the Wii game that ends up being the most memorable.

Well again, I personally always loved Smash, but I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that Brawl will not beat Galaxy in critical scores. As good as Brawl is/is going to be, its a literal rehash of Melee and so while it will be good, its not going to be revolutionary in any way. Galaxy has the potential to be a very revolutionary platformer.

We are pretty much on the exact same page. Brawl will sell more, be played more, and be amazing in every respect, but it wont be revolutionary in any way and Galaxy will be the game that people will play 5/10 years from now. That's how I see it anyways.

The next Super Smash Bros game no one will play Brawl anymore just like how no one played SSB64 when Melee came out.

Although I'm personally looking forward to Brawl more-so, there is a chance that Super Mario Galaxy could/will revolutionize the gaming industry just as Super Mario World (SNES) and Super Mario 64 did. ✅ Ya never know.
That being said...
DO THE MARIO!!!

Melee was released on December 3, 2001 and people are still playing it.
Brawl won't be released til 2008 so people will still be playing it even longer into 2008.
That'll be 7 years.
If you ask me, Brawl will have much more replay value in years to come rather than Galaxy.
Brawl is a Multiplayer Fighter. Pop it in and fight for as short a while or for as long as you want.
Super Mario games now aren't as accessible. Mario Galaxy will have RPG elements and like RPGs, once you beat it, the majority doesn't just pop it back in and start over. They wait a while.....months...if not years...if ever...before they give it another go.
Not the case with Brawl.
Galaxy won't be anything Revolutionary just like Super Paper Mario wasn't.
Was a good game, but that was all. That's all Galaxy will be. A good game....probably.
EDIT: Oh yeah. As for the Stage Creator..........Meh....I'll give it a go.

I completely disagree. I think Galaxy will end up being more like Super Mario 64 then anything else. Redefining platforming gaming AGAIN. People (myself included) are STILL playing SM64 like 10-11 years later...I haven't played Melee in about 3 years so...yea. Matt from IGN already said in a podcast that the demo of Galaxy is, in his opinion, better then Bioshock and that Galaxy will be his GOTY. I honestly think you'll see it beat Bioshock on a lot of sites and Magazines for GOTY. Galaxy in the same league as Super Paper Mario? You've gotta be kidding. SPM was good, but not that good. Galaxy is in a whole different universe. I just say wait and see, you'll be eating your words in about 2 weeks time.
