Super Smash Bros Brawl

Im putting out a guess that Galaxy gets 9.8 and 9.9s from the big reviewers while Brawl gets low 9s like 9.1.

I completely disagree. I think Galaxy will end up being more like Super Mario 64 then anything else. Redefining platforming gaming AGAIN. People (myself included) are STILL playing SM64 like 10-11 years later...I haven't played Melee in about 3 years so...yea. Matt from IGN already said in a podcast that the demo of Galaxy is, in his opinion, better then Bioshock and that Galaxy will be his GOTY. I honestly think you'll see it beat Bioshock on a lot of sites and Magazines for GOTY. Galaxy in the same league as Super Paper Mario? You've gotta be kidding. SPM was good, but not that good. Galaxy is in a whole different universe. I just say wait and see, you'll be eating your words in about 2 weeks time.
I say there's no need to wait and see what's already pretty predictable.

And guess what? I'm not speaking on whether it gets Game of The Year or not. It could get it. Good Games tend to get that title and as I said, this COULD BE a good game.

I'm speaking on whether it'll be this huge revolutionary game. Getting Game of The Year doesn't warrant the title "Revolutionary", so don't mistake it for that if it does get Game of The Year.

That said.....I personally don't see this game getting Game of The Year with all of these better games coming out.

Mass Effect being a Prime Contender for the title and my pick for the win if it all comes together like it's supposed to.

I won't be eating my words sir. I'll be coming back to this page........quoting myself.......and reposting it for you and all to see that I was right.

Umm...no. Russ Fisher appreciated the game, because it was "fresh", and compared it to the Metroid Prime series which transformed the Metroid franchise into 3D and was very successfu. Matt Casamassina, the editor of IGN Wii, loved it so much that he went on to say that the game was practically perfect.

Matt Wales agreed that it was everything Super Mario Sunshine was not. Giancarlo Varanini, of 1UP.com, wrote that it was the best example of how the Wii Remote can be used. Eveyone who has played the game already called it revolutionary.

And umm...when was the last time anyone has played Smash Bros 64?

No idea what your "Umm no" was referencing....nor will I guess....

As for the rest of your post...Ummm......Ok....that's nice.

Relevancy would be nice.

I still play SSB 64.

There's nothing wrong with it.

All I can say is that I have complete confidence that Mario Galaxy WILL be the best platformer since Mario 64. That in itself makes it better then just about every game released in the past 5 years.

I have SSB it was one of the best game's

Saying that that would make it better than every other game released in the past 5 years is a PRETTY BOLD STATEMENT, not to mention far fetched.

Famitsu awarded Super Mario Galaxy a score of 38/40 (two 10s and two 9s) and British Official Nintendo Magazine awarded it a score of 97%.

Again........nice statistics.......

Anything you actually have to say to me?

Guess not so I'll just quote my last message.

ok 1. new update - classic mode
it appears to be no different, aside from the obvious graphics upgrade
2. since its pretty clear that us wii owners will no doubt be smashing eachother online, i thought instead of bumping the friend code thread for the 50th time, lets say we put our wii friend code/number thingys here 😄

or just in our signatures

that would be easier, and say if someone joins the forums after a few pages have gone by this thread, no one wants to keep reposting their wii number over and over again

so i vote for putting our numbers in our signatures

I second that. And as for today's update; it's not that big. I pretty much could have guessed that a Classic mode would have been in it.

Everyone knew that the classic mode would be in it, it is a staple of brawl gameplay.

I hardly ever played the Classic Mode.

I just played Multiplayer Mode and then turn 2nd Player into a computer and 3rd and 4th Player as well sometimes.

I'm thinking they we may use the Coins to purchase Hidden/Secret Characters.

While the whole "Codes in the Signature" idea is a good one. I don't want to butcher my signature with a Friend's Code. Besides, I doubt it would fit in anyway with what I already have in it.

You could just change your signature.

You can by CD's to change stage music.

So like you said it may be something like that; use them for trophies.

It was obvious that Classic Mode would be in SSBB.

Why wouldn't it be?

Butcher your signature? Meh. Don't know about you, but I don't plan on wearing the same sig for 4+ months, so I don't really see the problem with it (about having codes in one's sig).
