Yeah, I noticed that.

I'm pretty sure that all of the alloy warriors were based off of some of the characters.

I'm not so sure. It seems more like they wanted to make an allow for each of the "weight classes". Your Donkey Kongs, Your Marios, Your Lucas's, and then ... Kirby. Being that he's the only one of that extremely light level confirmed so far (c'mon Jigglypuff...), I assume that's why the disclaimer is there.
