my main question is:

WHERE THE HELL IS CAPTAIN FALCON????

no trailers, no gameplay videos or anything

he has been my absolute favorite character to use since smash 64

I second that strongly. Not only was she a great character (TP had some good new faces overall IMO), but heck, she actually has a little bit of skill to back her up compared to Link's other sidekicks. And anyone who's played Twilight Princess would agree that she has a great potential Final Smash.

But as for character updates, I don't think it would hurt to unveil a few more veteran Smash characters. It'd be stupid to give too many of them the axe. Of course my main since 64, Link, was announced two seconds into the first trailer (and I hear he's been improved alot from Melee in things like speed and his projectiles), but he wasn't my only main.

Well I doubt anyone expected the game to be delayed a few more months. I bet the website team or whoever does it was going for a Christmas time release date because ever since the delay we've been mainly getting the "filler" updates.

It's just like Nintendo nowadays to delay their most anticipated titles for weeks or months. Twilight Princess was delayed, Metroid Prime 3 was delayed, Super Mario Galaxy was delayed...

Brawl getting delayed as well was bound to happen.

We even get an update on Christmas Eve just for Wario's overalls... WTF?

I guess up until the game's release, they're just going to keep dishing out as many "filler" updates as possible, so I might as well not keep up on all a' them, unless they're actually worth going to the site to see.

its possible that they could give us one more decent update as a way of apologising for keeping us waiting..

Edit: I just realized how lame the Melee commercial was in comparison. It had almost nothing to do with the game.
