Super Smash Bros Brawl

Famitsu gave the game a perfect 40 out of 40.

UK, January 16, 2008 - On the back of the recent delay for Super Smash Bros. Brawl this news will titilate and infuriate in equal measure, as Japanese gaming bible Famitsu has just granted Super Smash Bros. Brawl a perfect score of 40/40.

While not as rare an occurrence as it used to be, the perfect score is still a reliable indicator that Super Smash Bros. Brawl may well live up to the heady expectations of Nintendo fans. Since Famitsu's inception in 1986, only six other titles have garnished the full pelt of 40/40, those games being Ocarina of Time, SoulCalibur, Vagrant Story, The Wind Waker, Nintendogs and Final Fantasy XII.

Although the news will be welcome for those waiting for a quality game for the Wii in the wake of Mario Galaxy, it only goes to make the protracted wait for the title all the more agonising.

Thats damn good news, but makes it even more annoying to wait. lol

Indeed, it seems that Brawl will live up to its hype.

but why? how are they the main guys in this game as well as all their own? i thought this game was just like a fighter only with lots of nintendo characters, didnt know it was a game centraled around Mario and luigi

They are Nintendo's mascots and most popular franchise, to get those extra sales they obviously used the name since we all recognise Mario bros, so more people would buy it and now the title makes sense since all of or most of in the case of brawls characters are from Nintendo, they are like brothers.

It fits, at first it was a campaign strategy now, it has become its own franchise that would be lost with out the bros segment of its name.

seems a bit sad imo, plenty of Nintendo characters are populour they dont need to constantly keep spitting out Mario this, Luigi that, i personally dont like that idea, it sorta puts the other characters some of which imo are much cooler in the shade just because they want their mascots in the title 🙁

Well its how it works, when you have Mario who has sold over 25 million copy's of his games, it gets you wondering.

Finally. I knew Sheik was going to be in this. Love the new Pony Tail she's sporting.

And just wanted to note for those who thought Sheik was a male. Well now you have your proof that she's actually a girl. No more confusion.

yeh but to be fair hes had tonnes of games and is a very old character, hes been around for god knows how long, and has tonnes of games, all the mario parties, paper marios etc etc

Since we already know Zelda/Sheik's final smash, that should be the next update.

I am not denying that, its just that a considerable amount of people like Mario, and he is usually there main seller for every one of there consoles, of course they will focus on mario, he guarantees them there profit.
