This game looks like a mini game you'd find inside an video game. It looks like kids game.
Not trying to diss it or it's player, have at it if it's your cup of tea, just telling the truth. I know how popular it is but i just don't see it's appeal.
I do find that's it's highly popular very interesting. Like it won game of the month this month on Game Informer and i read that it's Wii most anticipated game ever. (out of any Wii game that's ever come out since the Wii system came out)

In fact FOTN does raise a point.
(It also got a 40/40 from Famitsu, the Japanese yardstick of classic gamery, to add to those plaudits, FOTN).
It is actually very hard for some to understand why this game is seen as the second coming- me included.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't think you are all fools. Quite the opposite- generally I would have had no reason to buy this game but I am doing so because it has been getting such a good write-up from all around. There was a time when I never devled into such things, but if I had stayed like that I nwould never have brought a DS or Wii in the first place, and so much the worse for me.
I think, FOTN, a lot of the appeal is that gamers these days are very competitive (just look at the popularity of deathmatch) and this game hits that spot in a very fun and casual way that also appeals to fanboy instincts (not using fanboy as an insult here) because of the crossover potential...
... but it is ALSO because it appears to have hit the spot in so many iother ways- use of graphics, sound, the list of features, the enormity of both its playability and its longevity... you can enjoy it alone and with friends... if the critics are right then it has ticked all the boxes about what a good game should be.
But in the end if you are not big on straight fighting games then you probably aren't goign to quite see it. I'm not huge on those games, incidentally, though the inclusion of a co-op mode does wonders for my willingness to buy.

Yeah. Now that Mewtwo's taken away from me, I ended up maining Pikachu again like I did in the first Smash game for the N64. Pika was the first character I ever became good with too, ironically enough. Of course, I'm just as good with Wolf and Captain Falcon in this game (depending on the situation), but as you've probably noticed, I tend to over-use Pika's Thunder attack at times. 😛
