I agree. Too many transformations in the game would make it too complex. SSBB would be tight if you could fuse characters together to make new characters...
So you'd still be getting the same amount of "Complexity" that you're speaking of, although I don't think "Complex" is the right word.
If everybody had all these transformations, it would take away from what Super Smash Brothers really is and the ability to transform would really be whored out and received as nothing special if everybody could do it.
Not to mention, if we could fuse 2 characters together, this would imply that we could control 2 characters at the same time which would be so ridiculous. It wouldn't even be a Super Smash Brother's Game anymore.

So, what are you saying? That Mario and Snake can fuse together to make a new character? What, like a Solid Snake dressed like Mazza?
Hey, that's given me a great idea. Instead of the same costume with different colours (Lame), Customizable costumes. You win cash like in Melee, but instead of getting figurines, you can buy costume parts and some of them can be of other characters. Dress Link up like Wario and hilarity will ensue.
By fusion, I mean you could combine the characteristics of two characters together and unlock a new character that has similar characteristics as the two characters that were fused together. For example:
1. Sonic + Princess Peach = Amy Rose
2. Sonic + Mewtwo = Shadow
3. Kirby + Bowser = King DeDeDe
4. Fox + Princess Peach = (that female wolf from Starfox Adventures)
5. Kirby + Ness = Adeline (a character from Kirby's universe)
6. Wario + Luigi = Waluigi

anyway, I think i mentioned this before in this thread, but if you look at the list of musicians on the site, just about all of the names of the people on there have worked on games that have characters in the game, and there are a few people that are on there that are working on the NiGHTS game, so there is a possibility that NiGHTS might be in it.

And there are a few people that are on there that are working on Final Fantasy games, so Sephiroth must be in it! 😱
Not exactly saying you're wrong, dude, but trying to figure out characters by the musicians working on the game really is not the best way to go about it.
In other news, Reggie apparently said that we'd be playing Brawl this year, not '08.
