Super Smash Bros Brawl

Mario, Bowser, and Peach was the best team on Super Mario RPG. Mario was the required member, Peach was the healer, and Bowser was the powerhouse. It's perfectly balanced.

I almost wanted to cry when I saw that Samurai Goroh was confirmed as an AT (Assist Trophy). Guess that's one less possible, good F-Zero representative to have for Brawl...

Hell. If one of my favorite Nintendo character's planned to just be an AT or some stage hazard, boss, or anything I can't control with my own 2 hands, I say he'd/she'd be better off not in the game at all...

I truly doubt that Sonic would be an assist trophy. Besides, the site states that only Nintendo characters would be assist trophy. It wouldn't be right if a third-party video game character appeared as an assist trophy. Sonic should be a playable character...

no, it says that "Basically, they’re guest characters separate from Smash’s playable roster!"

which mean we may see anywhere from Metal gear solid characers to sonic characters (assuming sonic is in the gane)

so it isnt limited to nintendo

you know what would be great is if they had waluigi as an AT and he ran at you with a taco haha

i think it would be cool to have tails as an AT, or a goron from zelda

that would be awesome

Anyhow, aside from that, it seems Bowser's been confirmed (check the smash site for more info). I like that darker shade of orange hair they gave him, and his claws look more awesome than ever. 🙂

As for that "Ridley AT" stuff, I probably should've mentioned this in my last post, but another reason I don't really see it happening (unless it's confirmed by Sakurai himself) is because first of all, if they had planned to make him an AT all along, it wouldn't of made sense for them to reveal his music theme beforehand (unless he was wanting to trick us or something). Secondly, Ridley was one of the 2nd most requested characters in Sakurai's Japanese poll for Brawl as shown here (translated)...

And he's very popular in the U.S. as well. Sakurai also said he wanted more Metroid characters, so I wouldn't quite count Ridley as an AT just yet. At least not until it's actually been confirmed, which it hasn't. Either way's still possible...

Sakurai also stated in some other site that he'd like 2 people from each series to represent it. As far as Metroid goes, Samus is 1 (Zero Suit doesn't count since it's just an alternate costume), but whose the other? Although Dark Samus is a likely candidate, I can't really see her/it taking priority over Ridley as a Metroid character (since he's been in a lot more games and stuff). If Metroid has enough room for 3 characters though, then Dark Samus would still make a good addition regardless.

With all that being said, the only possible Metroid characters I see as ATs (for now) are...

. Metroids
. Space Pirate grunts/soldiers/commandos
. The Hunters from MPH

if anything he will be an AT

and if he is an AT, i bet he will be a clone of blastoise and instead of water he will shoot cannons at you

id like to see peppy and slippy make an appearance as AT's

I'd like Metroid ATs... Latch on to the closest person and just keep piling on damage for a set period of time. Fun.

If K. Rool's an AT like you said though, I reckon he'd throw his crown at the opponent or something 😛 (like he does in Donkey Kong Country). As far as Star Fox characters go however, I'd personally rather see members of the Star Wolf team as ATs (like Panther or Leon) >.>, but that's just me. Besides that, Peppy & Slippy (as well as probably Falco) will probably make some appearance in a cut-scene in Adventure mode if they're not ATs (assuming you mean in their Arwings).

Edit: Or better yet, have General Scales (from Star Fox Adventures) as an AT. 😱 He'd have a sword or something like he did at the end of the game...

yeah i was thinking that too, in DKC1 he threw his crown, in 2 he shot cannonballs at you

either would work, and like you said he is up there on the most requested characters, i wouldnt be surprised at all if he showed up

Or he could run up and box them like in DK64.
