Anyone who hasn't been living under a rock these past months has known from the start that Meta Knight was a confirmed character, so making a separate update just to announce him seemed lame and unnecessary...

Yeah, that's true.

Since they posted a update on Metaknight in which we all knew was already confirmed, we should have received a second update to go with it, like his final smash or stage.

Or another character from Metroid like one of those Hunters from Metroid Prime: Hunters like Sylux or Trace

But yeah. Meta Ridley would be cooler than the original version, as would Omega Ridley. Needless to say, Charizard being playable (from that Pokemon Trainer update a few weeks ago) proves Ridley/Meta/Omega/whatever could work. I can easily imagine any form of Ridley being a good glider. Metroid needs more playable reps anyhow.

This might be aside from the point, but if Zero Suit Samus is actually considered a sufficient newcomer rep for Metroid altogether, then that's pathetic.

Meta Ridley would be cool. He'll have that plamsa beam as the standard B move, missiles as the side B move, that tail attack as the down B move, and that shockwave attack where Meta Ridley flies up and then comes crashing down causing a shockwave as the up B move.

He can fly by tapping the jump button like you would Jigglypuff or Kirby and even glide. Not to mention his Final Smash could be that uber power Omega beam attack he uses in Corruption.

Yeah. On certain Kirby games, Metaknight's mask breaks in half after you defeat him.

Basically, he has a face similar to Kirby's.

Dark Samus would make a good addition, methinks, but Ridley's entirely plausible.

I would rather have Meta Ridley than Dark Samus but either would be cool...or another Hunter like Trace or Sylux.

Heh. Ironic that a new stage would be named after my favorite Pokemon game (which still is to this day, regardless of all the new ones).
