I dunno why Lana is beating about the bush here. The reason she will never find any Mario game perfect is because she likes best the games where she can form a deep emotional attachment with character and plot.
I dare Lana to say I am wrong.
So then why doesn't she like a short, fat, Italian plumber?
Is there any more depth and emotional involvement?

In my opinion, Super Mario 3 is the best platformer out there.I've probalby gone through that game atleast 6 times. I cant get enough of it. About every 3 months or so, I go another round. Too damn fun.
Speaking of Mario Galaxy, when I first got to Sweet Sweet Galaxy, it was one of the rare times I shout in glee. It was fun. One thing I like that improved in Galaxy was that if you die, it takes you back to the checkpoint and not the galaxy screen like Mario 64 did. Makes the game alot better.
SMB3 is truly the pinnacle of games. That has to be one of my most played games. I'm so glad they finally added the game to the Virtual Console.
Here's my list of why SMG doesn't deserve to be Game of the Year:
-It's too colorful, I don't like colorful games. Games with gray and brown like Gears of War or CoD4 or dreary games like Halo or Bioshock are good.
-It's too hard and too easy. Some levels are too hard and some levels are too easy, I think they should always be mediocre.
-The music is too good. I personally like good music, but SMG's music is too good. I don't know why they use orchestrated music, no one ever wanted it anyways.
-It's too fun. I like fun games, but if it's too fun I hate it. It's just not worth my time.
-It's also too innovative. Why can't it be cookie-cutter like the rest of them? Don't get me wrong, I like new additions, but when it changes a lot of things... I just don't feel it

I think I need to agree. I also have to hate the controls. How am I supposed to blame dying on the controls when thay're so good? Grr.

Don't forget, they added way too much stuff.
Should have been a new combo or two and that's it.

I knew I wasn't the only one! Why does Mario have to be so unique! Give him a gun, throw him in FP mode, and send him through the same dark and dreary levels like every other game is doing. How dare he try to be different!!

True. This game is just way to different than Sunshine to be enjoyable.
