i thought that was a stupid ****in' reason, to be honest. part of evolving to survive included turning into energy. sure, fine, whatever. merging with vulcan? plot-device, but okay. absorbing remnants of his dead teammates, to the point where he could give vulcan access to their mutant powers, through a pseudo-sentient landmass? what?
