haven't heard it yet, but i really doubt this. Ice Cube has fallen off, and that's a fact.
Ain't nothin wrong with comparing albums of the same artist. I think Predator was his greatest work and one of the best West Coast albums ever created.
Laugh Now, Cry Later aint bad, but doesn't begin to touch his previous ablums, imo. 'Cube use to be really hard, but ever since he started acting he went soft and now raps about politics instead of spitting about murder.
Apparantly you're a couple spokes short from a wheel, my friend.
Let me rephrase it: Why is it a negative that someone is rhyming about what is actively going on in the world of politics and not about...oh, murder, guns and drugs? Isn't there enough murder everywhere else? Real life, TV, magazines. Why does it have to be in music? Especially when it's fabricated.
Why is it considered soft to not be rhyming about murder as a positive thing? When it clearly isn't one.
I'm not confused often, but you've achieved it. Though they say people fear and hate what they do not understand. Ice Cube displays intelligence and you run a mile. Coincidence?

I never said it's negative--it's completely out of Ice Cube's character to not talk about murders in South Central. It would be like Eminem talking about how much he likes gay people, or Tupac taking pride in the East Coast--completely out of their character and not them.
Ice Cube doesn't talk about murder as positive--he stays real and tells how it is. He's softee now, cuz he no longer spits hardcore subject matter.
I don't avoid Ice Cube's more intellectual songs. If yer gonna talk shit, then don't assume things about people.

Thats the main reason i liked Cube more when he left NWA, even though most of his songs are about violence they usually have a message and dont glorify it.
Amerikkka's most, Death Certificate, Predator and Lethal Injection was when he was at his best. Death Certificate being my favourite because it has "bird in the hand" and "alive on arrival" on it.
Not sure if i'd buy his new stuff, i heard some of the War and Peace albums and they didnt hold my attention much. He still should be given major props for putting out some dope albums though even if he has fallen off nowadays.

What do you mean "not get what DB meant"? I got what he said. He wasn't clear, hence why he had to type 3 paragraphs clarifying it.

First, not spitting hardcore subject matter doesn't mean you're a softee. Second, why do you want to hear about murders on the streets and people getting killed? Watch the news. Why does that need to be in music?
Lastly, I assumed you liked it on a superficial level (which you do) because you are a self-proclaimed fan of Big Tymers. A group who glorify nothing but money, hitting women and such.
So before you go "lmao"ing yourself silly. Think.
