This makes me long for the original vision for Mr. Freeze's appearance in BATMAN BEYOND. In one scene, Bruce Wayne would go to the freezer, open the door, and there's Freeze's head. He would then say something like, "Wayne. I will freeze your flesh. Your skin will crack. Your bones will shatter. And I--" And then Bruce would just shut the freezer door. That would be it.
