"Ever" in most cases, means "yet" or "so far" or "in history". Since the future is impossible to rationally calculate because it's limitless... I don't see why it's so wrong.

Hmm DLOTS came out in 2005 then. Either way, OT doesn't deal with EU, so unless Lucas says that EU specifically contradicts OT, then it's fair enough to say EU stands just fine.. Unless of course you don't understand the concept of "ever".. And if I'm correct, how does "The greatest fear the dark side has ever known" interpret into Yoda>Ancient Sith? He might as well BE the greatest threat to the dark side(which is bogus because of DE/NJO/DN), but that doesn't at all put him above anyone from TOTJ or the Ancient Sith, just makes him the supposed light side God.

That quote was referring to ever known up to that point I would say, which includes TOTJ-era, Ruusan-era, etc. and it's safe to say that it excludes Luke, seeing as the Dark side hadn't even known him yet.

No, actually, it was 1994....the Exar Kun stuff came out BEFORE GAotS and Fall of the Sith Empire. the run of TOTJ ended in...98 I believe
