Hmm. IMO, he's a toughie.
What I like about him is that he Is your Basic Superhero. His powers are relatively simple (as compared to, say, Surfer/Thor), which means he could be easier to write stories for IF he weren't so Damn Powerful with those basic abilities.
His origin is steeped in traditional myth (read Joseph Campbell's Hero With A Thousand Faces), yet given that scifi spin which would've been better IMO had certain glitches been thought out more thoroughly (eg, why do Kryptonians resemble humans so damn much?).
I like that he questions his role in the scheme of things, takes his responsibilties very seriously and (like Surfer) is a pacifist, when he could so easily be a Doomsday in his own right. But what I like most about him is that, other superheroes look up to him as The Hero.
What I don't like about him: too many characters with "LL" initials; a better explanation as to why a simple pair of glasses fools everyone; his moniker could be better, but since he was the first Superhero, he can make it work; and mostly...that damn costume!!---especially Those Swimming Trunks on the Outside!!!

Hmm... Cap Marvel is a great character. He's Superman's best rival, they're fights have always and will always continue to be 50/50; so you know he's tough. His powers I feel are very interesting and I like the story behind it.

He's always been fun and great to read. He's brash and arogant, but that's part of who he is and what he's about. When he swoops in, you know he's not going to give up without a fight.
His costume is simple and yet very unique and corresponds to his personality and character in my opinion. Anybody who can rival Supes for so long and give him such classic battles, deserves respect. I'd give Captain Marvel a 9/10.

He's not quite as interesting as he let's off. However, the guy kicks @#$ to no end so he makes up for that. He's sort of an old war horse and that's fun. He doesn't rely on his mutant powers much at all and he's disease stricken. So 6/10 for all that. (I would have given him higher but he's another X-men time traveller and that's just getting old)
His costume is hard to rate because he's changed it so many times. Same goes for his hair styles. I mean he's had a mohawk, a goatee, a ponytail, a mullet. The guy is almost impossible to rate on this, but overall he's never had any distinguishing characteristics in his costumes save the grey hair and shining eye so... 6/10
However his saving grace is he's a very good fighter and tactician. He knows what to do and will not hesitate when the time comes to do it. His powers are more than enough to maintain him but are nearly rendered useless due to the techno-organic virus that's eating at him.
I give him a 8/10 for effectiveness.
All in all that makes him a 7/10

Spidey's costume kicks ass! At least when its drawn right, some people don't seem to draw it well, but he is also a character where all of his costumes have been good. Now that is rare. Everything eles I'll agree with though.
