The Immortals were pretty cool. I liked their uniforms. Not so much their faces. Or their monster.

Yeah, the immortals looked really cool. The director said he used the monster visage because thats how the spartans viewed the persians ", as monsters coming to invade their lands." It's all from the spatans point of view.

😆

300 is a movie you walk in expecting action and nothing but it. I didnt walk into the theaters expecting a deep story or anything realistic. That's why I loved the movie.

😂 Right, I forgot that the Spartan who lost his eye was the one narrating it.

Did anyone else think that the Greek Army at the end (numbering about 40,000?) looked larger than the Persian Army (about 120,000?)?

Yeah, I thought that, I didn't really hear what he said the first time and thought they had outnumbered the Persians, but when I saw it the second time, I was kinda shocked.

And both times I was not able to see when he lost his eye! Did anybody see it?

Anybody know when the soundtrack is coming out?

I also did not see when he lost his eye! When you saw him putting the bandage/cloth/whatever over his eye I was thinking "I didn't see him lose that!" I need to watch it again now.

Sorry I didn't actually answer your question and just commented that I agreed haha.

The soundtrack is already out, isn't it?

Seeing it again tonight 😊

I'm glad you agreed, that means I wasn't the only one who might have missed something 😛

I'm not sure, I will go on a hunt for it tomorrow...

😂 Maybe it's the way they're arrayed? srug

I actually didn't see him during any of the battle scenes. I was too busy watching the blood squirt out, I guess.

Supposedly the soundtrack is already out, but it wasn't at my Best Buy last I checked 🙁

I plan on seeing it tonight.

The Persian Immortals were so called because there was always ten thousand of them. If six hundred were killed one day in battle, they were immediatley replaced as soon as possible. The number never changed giving them the aura of being unbeatable, or immortal.

They were also impressively dressed, and for the most part, taller than your average persian. The name immortal has more to do with the image, presentation and legacy of the unit moreso than woth their fighting skills.

Also, as awesome as the movie was, trying to make any historical sense out of 300 is not advisable.

I absolutey agree. There is not a hint of historical reliability, apart from obviously the of handful of Spartans facing massive army of Persians.

It was visually stunning, and of course enjoyable, for me at least.

😂

The Immortals also consisted of Persian nobles, right? The Elite of the social classes and the military.
