OMG this movie kicked butt!!!!! I looooved it, the scenes was great, and there was also a little humor in some parts, I would give it 10 stars if i could. 👆

Ok, fair enough, but really it was the English that were represented as worse.

On the topic of 300, I feel people are over exagerratiing the film a little, and sometimes they are cleary missing something when they say 300 is a macho, testerone fuelled masterpiece, and inspiring as a male to watch.

Yes, there's testosterone in 300, but that's all there is. It's a film that glorifies the bodies of these Spartan warriors, who just look like the members of a boxing gym. There's nothing wrong with that of course, I've nothing against the gay community, is it right that we allow 16 year old kids to think masculinity consists of wearing practically nothing and video-game warfare?

It's hardcore, fanboy nertitude taking it to the mainstream, it won't be a cult hit, it's just far too crude and doesn't even have enough parody to it, to really jostle many pretentious art students around the world.

Sure, it might have a nice visuals. but that's all it has, and it's just amusing to think the clowns tried to make a story out of it. It's a battle. That's about it. It's Top Gun for the 21st Century.

I saw this movie yesterday and it was absolutely AMAZING! I did not look at it to be a historically correct movie or any of that, I watched it as a MOVIE! It had good acting, awesome lines, a funny one that sticks out to me was when Leonidas and his Spartans just finished the first battle and is walking over piles and piles of bodies while eating an apple, he turns around to face one of the Spartans and asks if they can still be civil, the guy responds with "of course" and then turns back and stabs a Persian...I dunno, I thought it kind of humorous and ironic and funny...

All in all, it was a great movie, I left the theater feeling awesome, I strongly recommend seeing this, I may go see it again before the week is over.

actually it didn't...it got the biggest box office takings of any film released in March of any year and i think it got the biggest box office opening weekend of any film with an R rating...but it didn't take the overall opening weekend record

infact its nowhere near the highest ever...its just over half of what POTC2 took

yeah, like the fact that there were far more than three hundred soldiers who fought against the persians at the battle of thermopalye, and miller also forgot to mention that the main reason that the spartans, arcadians and athenians lasted as long as they did was due to the naval efforts which hindered the persians from flanking the spartans.

considering this, no one ever claimed this movie to be a history lesson. Infact i was impressed with how much historical detail they did add.The flick was almost an exact retelling of milers comics. I enjoyed the movie, but i think seeing how i have been waiting for this movie for over a year my expecations were to high. i left the cinema feeling a bit empty. I think the reason for this was because the ending was a bit anti climatic atleast cinematically. the acting, effects and muscles were pretty great for such a small movie

Just an all-around fun movie.

watched it and i thought it was well worth my $7.50, couldn't even tell that it was all special effects.
