Well, tonight's episode of Dexter was certainly fascinating. I feel like I'm the only one (based on the reviews) that saw Deb's awkward revelation coming a mile away.
You sure were!
That was icky. And totally out of left-field.
But I admire the writers having the balls to go there. Few shows would. I don't think it works though.
Spoiler:
Those two are too good as siblings. They have the best chemestry in the show as such.
Me too. Though it looks like Louis is going to be the next serial killer or something and that he knows stuff about Dexter, so maybe he'll reveal it.
Though as to Deb, I don't even know how it makes sense. She obviously has Daddy-issues, not that thing her psychiatrist suggested-issues. Maybe if they'd have hinted a bit more throughout the season this wouldn't seem like it just came out of left field, but yeah, not seeing it at the moment. Also what the **** Debs Psychiatrist?! Could you have maybe have picked a better time to bring this up?
Also I'm running out of creative ways not to actually say what happened with Deb.

Maybe Louis and the psychiatrist are a secret team trying to break Dexter and Deb down. Maybe they'll be next season's antagonists.
As am I. A very interesting possibility. Plus both have been great this season imo. Very solid acting. Debs psych scenes have been some of the best all season. I'd love to have them return in the next one too. Also I noticed the psychiatrist in the background when Deb and Dex were hugging, watching them. Very creepy imo.

It's going to run the next the table on the next few Awards Ceremonies. Michael Pitt should win a few oscars or golden globes next year. I've never been so damn emotionally invested in a show and it's the best one I've ever seen.
I've actually been anticipating a Frank Grimes-esque twist right out of the Simpsons, where Louis is Brian's long lost son-by-hooker-he-didn't-kill.I've heard decent, yet underwhelming praise for Boardwalk Empire.
