What the...?
I had to write seminar papers with 12-15 pages for every seminar I went through in university, starting in the first semester.
That advice they give you about starting early, developing drafts, and giving yourself some breathing room is good shit. Would've saved me a lot of GPA-based grief this semester.
Seriously?
I've never bothered with any of that. Usually started to work on papers 2-3 days before deadline, going through research in the morning, proceed to construct an argumentation later the same day and then start typing. I've always scored between 95 and 100 % with that method. Only exception was a 25 page work on the Battle at Thermopylae, which took an entire week to complete - mainly because I had to read parts of different translations of the "Histories" (Herodotus) for that.
