Janus frequently levels accusations of bias, dishonesty, stubbornness or some colorful combination thereof against anyone who disagrees with him. This is an absolute impediment to any civil discussion or debate and the hypocrisy such a tactic entails is staggering. Banter is one thing, but this is such a blatantly cheap jab that obstructs the discussion itself. Why do you endorse it?
"Started" this annoying trend of accusing your opponent of being hopelessly biased as a means of avoiding the debate or impeding the conversation. It's one thing to bow out if you feel that you won't get anywhere {my stance, for example, with SW_LeGenD}, but Janus makes a point to address the arguments if only for the opportunity of leveling such accusations.

The bottom line is that this has been a contemporary and consistent problem with conversations that involve Janus from ROK to KMC. It's annoying enough when I'm the one being accused of it, but Blax? Yes, he just oozes with anti-Ancient Sith rhetoric.

Anyway, I digress. But aside from the obvious issue of account longevity, this has become my absolute biggest problem with KMC. Lord knows I've been guilty in the past of using "bias" as a thread-killer, but I look back and see that it was such an indescribably petty and foolish tactic: as if anyone here isn't biased in one form or another about a character or two or as if having a bias automatically means you're wrong. It's probably been my singular KMC-related pet peeve for years and I've done my best to remove myself from such conduct. Clearly bias exists and can impede a discussion; that's why I don't debate with the likes of SW_LeGenD. But among the rest of us civilized folk, I see no reason why we can't have an honest conversation without it boiling down to "WELL YOU LIKE [Sidious/Ragnos/Nihilus/etc.] SO UR BIASED AND UR ARGUMENT IS STUPID MWAHAHAHA", as it so often threatens to do. I've complained about it in various threads and under multiple accounts since Gideon's banning, but it seems like it's a trend that isn't going away anytime soon and until it does, there's no point in expressing opinions that dissent one way or another.
Until then, I'll stick to the new place.
