I meant like, actual comics.

(Marvel comics is what I meant. Where Thor's presence is relevent to this discussion)

No, they know their customer base in America Jesus Land. The Christian God is not in Marvel so far as I've ever seen, although it's featured god-like beings (such as Thanos full strength, Galactus, the Phoenix, that bastard child of Mr Fantastic) and straight-out devils and demons, along with aliens, dinosaurs, and everything else that keeps Creationists up at night.

But no God.

He's the third post on the last page.

Not true, there's a being called the One-Above-All who created the omniverse and everything in it. Its the Supreme Being of the Marvel Multiverse.

A day or close to one counts as a while for me.

Just wondering, what would you guys say is the most moving moment you've experienced in gaming?

Personally mine would be playing Jade Empire, hearing all about the Water Dragon and then finally seeing it, with the sad music in the background. Brings me to tears everytime.

Red Dead Redemption

Lol, why?

A killer and an outlaw finally getting gunned down. Not sad.

Let's clarify our positions here.

I've pointed out that Thor, who is the living embodiment of the supernatural/superhuman being that is directly responsible for the "Thor" of Norse mythology, is a "god" in the sense that he is beyond human and he fits the profile of a god... that he inspired. This opens the doorway to questioning faith because if supernatural/superhuman beings are out there that have before visited earth through wormholes/tech bullshit, then it stands to reason any and all "god" sightings may be attributed to living breathing beings rather than "uber awesome good-God who loves us all, except for homosexuals and Hillary Clinton".

You've said "Thor isn't a god. My assertion stands on its own two feet."

No, that's not an appropriate analogy.

Thor represents early humans mistaking alien beings as divine. This again, opens the doorway to questioning religions. Captain America is a dyed-in-the-wool conservative Christian American, or should be. If he holds true to his faith, despite knowing both Loki and Thor, it makes him appear to be in denial or simply oblivious to the implications of their existence and history.

My assertion is that Thor isn't a God. You want me to... prove that he's not a God? If not, then I don't understand how anything you're saying here contends with my point.

What is your definition of "God"?

The One Above All is pretty much God. He is a "supreme being" that seems to have crafted the Multiverse. IN one of the FF issues the FF go to heaven to bring the Thing back to life and end up meeting and talking with TOAA (He looks like Jack Kirby).

I called you out for arguing via "chucking out an assertion without backing it up with a rational argument". Admit this and we can all move on to better things, like arguing Star Wars. Wait, no that's a huge waste of time.

Keyword "Christian".

A killer and outlaw went through the effort of personally reforming himself, earning a living, and adequately raising a son, trying to put the bloody past of his behind him. He specifically wants his son to live a better life than the one he was forced into by circumstance, and actually seems to be succeeding.

Then, Edgar Ross holds his wife and son hostage, and forces him to kill once more, but promises a full pardon for his past acts if he brings in three deadly outlaws, which John actually manages to do.

Then Ross goes against his word and attacks John's farm, for the purpose of killing John and his family. John has his son and wife ride away from him while he goes out to stall the military, and that is all he can do, stall them, and he is promptly gunned down.

But apparently gunning down a farmer who by now has received a pardon for his past crimes is just cool. 👆

Oh but there's more! A few years later, after John's wife (I honestly forgot her name), Jack Marston has become an outlaw and gunslinger, and promptly murders Ross, who has by now proven himself to be traitorous scum, for revenge. Only... This is the exact opposite of what John wanted for Jack, and in-game dialogue indicates that Jack lives a hollow, empty life. This is a downer ending.

Are you trolling?

Man, between the Ownage thread and that, my night just got really dark and depressing.

I need to watch some more Adventure Time to perk myself up. 🙁

U mad bro? [Norrington]Repentant good deeds do not redeem a man of a lifetime of indulgent bad ones[/Norrington]

And I said it's not sad. And it's not. None of that is sad. Also John Marsten was an annoying *sshole who didn't know how to be cool. I thought Niko from GTA IV was dull, but Cheesus did John suck.

I admit that you were calling me out for arguing via "chucking out an assertion without backing it up with a rational argument".

Unfortunately, if that truly is why you were calling me out, that would imply that your reading-comprehension skills are sub-par. mmm

Ah, so the fundamental problem is that your opinion is shitty.

Glad you admit it. 👆

Actually my opinion is as always excellent, since I am in fact a genius the likes of which this nor any other plane of existence has ever seen, and will never be seen again.
