IMO TK should be something that other force-users of around the same level should defend against fairly well, and thus not be a decisive factor.

Like when Obi-Wan and Anakin fought, where they both tried to push each other and just stalemated.

Exactly, it should be the powerful move that Force users excel at. Swords, even ones made out of pure energy, don't stand up to an invisible punch to the everything.

Barriss didn't hold her own against Anakin.

If it weren't for his superior force powers, he'd had his ass kicked.

I think it's safe to put ol' Barriss among the elites.

Yep. She's most certainly above the likes of Maul and Opress, considering she gave Anakin a better fight than the brothers gave Obi Wan. Which, thinking logically, would definitely put her above Sidious.

I'd say we can also put her above Grievous and Ventress, as well.

They're mere nats to her.

Yeah, she's every bit Sidious's equal, I'd say. And she Force pushed Anakin, so we can put her above the Son and Daughter of Mortis, whom Anakin Force pwned.

Undoubtedly the force of her... er... Force would have been tripled and she'd have smote the Chosen One brutally.
