😖hifty:

Jess, you're deluded if you think that the Zimmerman case shows a liberal media bias. It might show a proclivity to sensationalize race relations, but calling that a partisan issue rather misses the mark.

What does the liberal media focus on? Race. What does it NOT focus on? Facts. This should hardly be surprising RH.

Look, both sides have members who focus on sensationalism over rigor. But that doesn't make emotional reactions the exclusive province of just one wing; FOX's "War on Christmas" or the emotional wailing over Mass Effect (and blue alien sex) show that conservatives can be just as eager to overreact to things.

This was a lesson on yellow journalism and muckrakers, not liberalism.

The problem is, fox news is the only one of its kind. On the other side, you have all those stations I've mentioned earlier, including all of Hollywood. So while Fox News does outrageous bullshit like the "war on christmas", it doesn't compare to the shit MSNBC and the daytime shows pull on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Especially when it comes to this case, when fox kept it rather logical and fact based, whereas MSNBC went off the deep end with their stupidity.

Fox is way worse than any of those shows though. I don't even have American programming and I know that.

Also I'm pretty sure there are more conservative leaning stations than you're saying there is.

Fox is nowhere near as bad as MSNBC.

In what way is it not a partisan issue? The entire case was a contest between two different narratives: one of a helpless, frail young black man being ruthlessly gunned down by a seedy bigot vs. a shady young black man being killed in self-defense by an over-cautious member of the neighborhood watch. Each narrative has been largely sponsored by the two dominant political aggregates in the nation.

As it turns out, while both sides naturally bend and shade, the liberal one was revealed to be the less accurate account. This is inarguably a partisan issue and speaks to relevant political topics that are inherently partisan: the role of race relations, racial profiling, gun rights, self-defense laws, and the role of community organizations such as the neighborhood watch in law enforcement.

I wouldn't go that far. They're comparable, but MSNBC is definitely the more biased of the pair.

The chatty catty espouses his intuitive sinister leanings from the heart.

So Leland Chee confirmed the identity of the most powerful Force user in the franchise via Twitter.

Whom could this particular individual turn out to have been, oh dark one?

The Father from the Mortis arc of The Clone Wars.

Not really surprising.

On a side note, it also legitimizes my argument that G-/T-canon "minimalism" trumps exaggerated EU feats.

To the naysayers, it's time to pack it in. I win, as usual.

Perhaps the spectacle of that which lies outside is wasted in the realm of incoherence.

Your mom's moans of pleasure when I was blanking the holy blank out of her last night were outside the realm of incoherence.

Perhaps.

So Chee confirmed that the force Gods were the most powerful in the mythos? Shocking.

Your sarcasm is misplaced. Nephthys and your henchman from the Special Olympics were opining otherwise and have lost.

The chatty catty is loathsome like a leper who frolics with ducks.
